Mt View Hotel
My wife and I stayed in a suite at this hotel last weekend. The property was not terrible, although the service was lacking to say the least. The major problem with the hotel is that the rooms are not secure. We had 3 envelopes containing cash, checks and important paperwork that mysteriously disappeared from our room. When we brought it to the staff??s attention, they did not seem too concerned, nor did they try and offer us anything to make up for the loss. Had this happened at a quality hotel, they might have at least offered to comp our room... or something. All we got from the hotel was, "sorry". I would not recommend this hotel to anyone... unless they don't mind having their property stolen.
Louis Small Business Marketing
Marketing Basics
To succeed, entrepreneurs must attract and retain a growing base of satisfied customers. Marketing programs, though widely varied, are all aimed at convincing people to try out or keep using particular products or services. Business owners should carefully plan their marketing strategies and performance to keep their market presence strong. For this reason I would recommend calling these guys and asking them how they can help you advertise, market, and grow your business.
Bay Area Paint Ball
I love this place. It's very new and has awesome facilities. Fun to do with a group or as a single player. This is the biggest paintball facility in the Bay area. they also have lockers, gear rentals, and an observation area.
Center Court Tennis
I like tihs little tennis shop. It's centrally located within San Mateo and has a good selection of raquets, clothing etc. Considering it's a downtown store, parking is actually pretty easy to find. They carry kids gear as well.
Lariat
The Lariat is a good local spot in Belmont. They offer low key atmosphere, shuffle board, many pool tables, juke box dancing and a well stocked bar. Good place for cocktails after work or a good game of pool and a beer.
Citrus Club
Great spot to grab a bite in the upper haight. For the most part, Citrus Club is a noodle house. While they have many dishes, they do noodles like no other. Great combinations, good prices and good vibed atmosphere make this a top pick for me.
Kan Zaman Cafe
Walking into Kan Zaman, you'll feel like you just walked into the set up a ballywood movie. From the furniture to the walls, you're swept away to another world. Flavored Hooka action is always fun, and belly dancing will for sure put you in a happy place. While the food IS good, it's not by any means award winning. You'll come here for the atmosphere and good times. Call ahead if you have a group.
PROS: good times
CONS: can be hard to find parking
Bissap Baobab
What's not to love about Baobab. Even when this spot was a tiny little hole-in-the-wall behind beauty bar, it totally rocked. The new location has all the best of the old... but now you can get a table! Great people watching abounds. Fresh food, wonderful drinks... and great prices. What more could you ask for. Make a great jumping off point to a fun-filled night in the mission.
Lorenzo's Sandwich Shop
This spot is a Belmont favorite. Located in the center of Belmont (across from carlmont village - next to village cobler), this great sandwich shop aims to please. Specialty sandwiches, personalble staff, and super-high quality ingredients get this place big kudos from me. This may be the best sandwich shop I've ever been.
PROS: Awesome sandwiches, fresh - quality ingredients
CONS: Parking can be a hassle -
Salon Fantasy
I was scrambling for a hair cut the other day at lunch... ended up going by several places that where to busy to fit me in. I stopped by Salon Fantasy on 25th and El Camino and not only did they squeeze me in, Jenny Wu did an awesome job on my hair. Wash/dry, scalp massage and clipper-free hair cut. I was really happy with the job she did, but even happier when she only charged me $20.
