West Seattle Golf Course
West Seattle is the best public golf course in Seattle by a landslide. Some of the holes on the back nine rival those on private courses. Sometimes a bit crowded.
The Highlands At Gearhart
I go out of my way to play this little course with nice views and incredible pro-shop prices on equipment. The staff are wonderful and the course is always in great condition.
Rock Island Golf Course
Rock Island offers an affordable golf experience for the beginner golfer to work on their game. Not too much trouble and good-sized greens will boost confidence.
Suntides Golf Course
Nothing real special about Suntides golf, except the low prices. Easy to get to, well-maintained, and friendly help make for a solid round of golf near Yakima.
Jefferson Park Golf Club
Jefferson Park Golf won't wow you or push your game, but being centrally located on Beacon Hill in South Seattle and priced low, if you love people, come here - you'll have plenty of time to talk with someone while you wait for the hackers in front of you to finish their 120+ stoke round.
Gold Mountain Golf Club
Oh how I wish these two beautiful challenging courses were closer, but no complaints as the incredible golf experience at amazingly low prices make the drive worth it. I prefer the Olympic course, but both offer much to golfers of all skill levels. Hackers stick to Madrona in Gig Harbor so we can keep this Puget Sound Area gem in great condition, which the Gold Mountain staff strives whole-heartedly to do.
Wing Point Golf & Country Club
Wing Point G.C.C. is located on Bainbridge Island, which makes for a bit of a trip if you're not a Bainbridge native, but it's worth it. A fun & challenging track that is always in great shape. Make sure to play with a regular for tips, which will save you strokes on this unique course.
Trophy Lake Golf & Casting Club
Trophy Lake is one of my favorite courses in Washington because every hole is unique, challenging, beautiful, and in great condition. Nice facilities (including restaurant) and good prices make for a wonderful golf experience.
Mc Cormick Woods Golf Course
I know quite a few people who call McCormick Woods their favorite course. While my heart is elsewhere, McCormick certainly provides a great golf experience as it is beautiful and challenging.
Golf Club At Newcastle
The complex is amazing, with great golf, superb food, beautiful structures, and incredible views. Both courses are beautiful and challenging. For price, choose the China Creek course, and for views choose Coal Creek.
