From packing supplies to gift products to arts & crafts, The Paper Zone is a store that offers a wide variety of paper and paper-related accessories to fit any need. I've found great gift-wrap supplies and their paper selection for invitations and other projects is unparalleled.
My Youth Group has visited many retreat facilites over the years, and Lake Retreat is one of my favorites. It's relatively close, and the facilities are nice. The setting is really beautiful, but there's a lot more to do if the weather is nice.
My husband and I stayed at the Salish Lodge for our honeymoon, and enjoyed every moment. The facilities are truly world class, and the setting is exquisite (the lodge is perched on the edge of beautiful Snoqualmie Falls). Our room didn't overlook the falls, but we were still surrounded by mountain grandeur in the foothills of the Cascades. Every amenity was provided; we especially enjoyed the romantic fireplace and jacuzzi bathtub. The staff was nice, and we had no problems requesting a late checkout. Another excellent feature is the restaurant, where we enjoyed a steak that I still dream about - it was that good!
This is the closest stamp and scrapbook store for me, and it's more than adequate. They pack a lot of great products in a relatively small space. I can usually find what i want or something just as good. They don't always have specialty or obscure items for stamping/scrapbooking, though.
Make an Impression is the Seattle Area's premiere rubber stamp store. They have virtually everything you need, and even non-stampers will find lots to love. The owners really know their stuff, and the employees are friendly to work with as well.
The Scrapbook Nook is the best store around for scrapbook supplies. But more than that, you can find quality products for other crafts or projects. You can also use their workshop area to work on your projects with everything you need at your fingertips.
The Puyallup Fair is must each year. It's huge, so there's something for everyone - food (get a scone or 12!), games, rides, exhibits, and more! I highly recommend a delicious slice of pie from the YoungLife Pie booth -- it's a good price for a good cause. Look for YoungLife BBQ and Teriyaki as well!
Family Fun Center has something for all ages, and it's a great place to spend an afternoon or evening. Favorites include go-carts, laser tag, and air hockey! Just don't eat there, the food is mediocre and overpriced.
For something a little different than dinner and a movie, try the Dinner Train. It's fun, the food is superb, and you'll enjoy your time with or without the interactive mystery.
Macy's is my favorite department store. The employees are always friendly and helpful. I love what they have to offer, especially in the home department, and they have the best sales! I appreciate the convenience of paying my credit card bill on site.
