Pier 1 Imports in Covington is a unique import store that carries small furniture items and decorating pieces. Customer service is great and very conveniently located with ample parking.
Les Schwab in Kent is a super place to purchase tires and have brakes work done. They are quick, customer service above all and very friendly. The carry there own brand of tires which are of great quality.
The Puyallup Fair is a Northwest legend as far as state fairs. Always in early September is a classic hometown fair with food, entertainment and animals galore. Many opportunities for reduced or free tickets from kids at their school. Parking is a challenge.
IKEA is one of a kind. Furniture warehouse sized store in Renton. Showroom is a maze of all they carry from couches to beds to shelves, etc... The furniture is "self assemble" and isn't too tough for even those with limited tools. Pricing can't be beat.
Christian supply is a great Christian supply store that is my place to find a great selection of christian cards, books and CD's. Customer service is great and they are always willing to special order items.
Elk Run golf course used to be a 9 hole so so course that was expanded to a nice 18 hole course. A few holes on the short side, but enjoyable. Green fees are reasonable and not too tough to get on during peak season.
Washington National Golf course has a gorgeous setting with views of Mount Rainier and luxurious homes. Street of Dreams was there a few years back. Long and well maintained with waste bunkers that you don't see much around here. Great layout.
Auburn golf course has been around for a bunch of years. They continue to make improvements and recently have started reworking hole number eleven. A clubhouse will be built within a year which will take this course up a notch.
Trophy Lake golf course near Port Orchard is a treat to be able to play. It's public but has the feel of a private course. Fairly new, it isn't lined with houses and is very well maintained. Watch out for the rough.....you'll loose your ball in that tall grass almost every time.
Gold Mountain golf course located near Bremerton is a class act public golf course. The layout is challenging and maintained very well. This is one of the highest rated Washington public golf courses and green fees reasonable.
