Susan Abrams, AICI, and Patricia Cisneros, AICI, are professional speakers who travel nationally for speaking engagements and executive training on professional image. Local business people in the AV saw them in the standing-room-only Diva tent at the first AV Women's Conference 2006! HR and training depts in the AV finally have local trainers to help define Business Casual for men and women - and professionalism in the AV business arena. Check out their image book for sale on their web site.
PROS: There ARE lots of professional people in the AV!
Wow, this lady is great! She is so easy to talk to, helped me find out the colors that look good on me (makeup & clothes), and what styles of clothes to wear for my body and the right occasions. I bought her children's etiquette book for my little ones and think I'll have her speak for one of their children's activity groups (maybe at Church?)
PROS: Really nice person, I learned a LOT! I look GREAT!
If you wondered where the creative genius went who opened up the original Ravissant in Pasadena- look no more! Freddy Arboleda is working his "fashion-forward style" and color magic at his new salon that is currently "under the radar"... he is still building his staff, creating his marketing plan, etc, BUT the salon is OPEN and getting busy already! I've been taking my image consulting clients to him for some years (formerly to Ravissant) and now to the new place. Freddy is the only one I trust with my own cut & color prior to photo sessions and public speaking appearances. If I were you, I'd get in now before the rest of the world finds him again! Friendly staff because they are HAPPY there.
PROS: Great time to get your appointment!
CONS: Later you'll have to WAIT to see the TOP guy!
"Heads up" to those who used to go to Ravissant but in the last year noticed a negative turn. The long-time owner & creative genius that started Ravissant sold the place & had a falling out with the new ownership.
