The Wonton Soup is a good starter. Try the Sweet and Sour Pork (or Chicken.) The basics such as Beef and Broccoli and Chicken with Snow Peas are also yummy. The deep fried Spring Rolls are tasty too!
Pat's is a must when living in Kitsap County. The eggs come exactly how you order them. The pan fried potatoes are my favorite choice (as opposed to the hash browns.) The Country Eggs Benedict is wonderful. Their French Toast is out of this world. The Harvest Pancakes are awesome. My friend raves about the blueberry pancakes too. The bread is fresh-baked on the premises. The sandwiches are huge and yummy. The pie is better than mom used to make.
Looking for good, cheap, Chinese food and lots of it? Kings Wok is sure to please. I really like their Honey Chicken and their BBQ Pork. The quality of each item I have tried is good. The one drawback is that if you don't go during the busy lunch or dinner hours you often are stuck with food that has been on the steam table too long.
Rustic atmosphere and fantastic food can be found in this historic restaurant. I highly recommend the Prime Rib. The portions are generous and the quality is out of this world. Try the Prime Rib blackened too. The steaks are also excellent. Good soups and side salads too! Don't skip dessert. I've tried them all and now I can't decide which I like the best. They are all awesome. The live music every night at 5pm adds to the fun atmosphere.
I've been a Souplantation fan since I was a teenager. Not only do they offer healthy salads, soups, and bakery items but they also taste good too! Their Won Ton Chicken Happiness (formerly called Won Ton Chicken Salad) is a must as you work your way through their buffet. The Asiago Caesar Salad is also very good. I like their Chili, Chicken Noodle, Cream of Broccoli, and Low Fat/Vegetarian Vegetable Medley. Almost all of their soups are excellent. (Vegetarians will find several items catering to their lifestyle.) I also like their Yankee Clipper Clam Chowder with Bacon. Lots of great bakery items like corn muffins, garlic or pizza focaccia, and brownie muffins. You can even get non-fat frozen yogurt to top it all off. Look for coupons in your Sunday paper to save a little. Their lunch or dinner coupons are usually valid for up to 4 people.
Why is it always that a strip mall Chinese food restaurant has the best takeout? Golden Dragon offers a good variety of fresh, made-to-order selections. Their Kung Pao Chicken is awesome! It's not loaded with tons of cheap veggies like onions and celery. You are instead treated to zucchini, carrots, water chestnuts, and plenty of peanuts. (It's also actually spicy which is how it is supposed to be made.) Their Beef and Broccoli is also very good with tender non-gristly beef, good sauce, and the broccoli is not overcooked. I also recommend the Chow Mein, Wonton Soup, and the BBQ Pork Fried Rice. The one downside is the Chicken with Snow Peas (or Broccoli) which is a little bland. Even that is okay because the chicken is nice white meat and the veggies are cooked just right. Try it out! It's not a sit-down dinner atmosphere, but great for a casual lunch or takeout for dinner.
