My husband and I eagerly awaited this new ??family friendly?? neighborhood restaurant. We were able to go and it was a HUGE disappointment. First, we sat down and the high chair was too low for our table (the table hit my daughter??s forehead so she had to sit in the booth between my husband and I ?? or on our lap). The waiter was friendly but all of the staff seemed disorganized, the service was slow, and or food came out at different times. The ??family friendly??, highly touted kids menu had about 5 selections that would be considered standard (or below standard) for any other restaurant. I ordered a prime rib, medium and it came very rare. My husband had a filet mignon and it was the worst piece of steak I??ve ever tasted. The grill flavor was completely overwhelming (I had to discreetly spit it out). He sent it back (something he??s never done in the 6 years I??ve known him) and the replacement steak came out tasting equally bad (and I think it was $25+). We both had their signature potato dish (described as potato lasagna) and all I could taste was garlic, it was horrible. My husband??s potatoes were hard and not cooked all of the way. I generally can make excuses and exceptions for new restaurants and give them time to improve, but this was so bad I never want to go back. I can only hope this restaurant closes and is replaced by a truly family friendly restaurant ?? that has edible food.
