North Center Animal Hospital

I was never impressed by North Center but they were convenient and nice enough. After my last experience I'll never go back. I was feeding my dog prescription food that they prescribed ever since my dog had a stomach issue. It had been about 6 months-maybe more. I went in every couple of weeks to restock. Well, the last time I went in I was told due to a new law they couldn't sell me the food without seeing my dog every 6 months. I explained that this was the first I'd heard of it and I only needed a few cans to get me thru the weekend b/c we were going out of town. They refused. I explained that I'd have to give my dog different food and that may bring the stomach problems back but they didn't care. Then she told me someone had left me a message saying my dog was due for a 6 month check up, but I never got the message and even if I had they still didn't warn me about the new law. That's pretty important information! I was in every 2 weeks for months and no one told me that at some point I had to bring my dog in to get more food. I think that's really irresponsible b/c I had to go find other food and start switching my dog's diet.
THEN, later I looked at my past receipts and realized I had been in just 3 months ago for blood work (not over 6 months ago!) AND the reminder on the receipt said my dog didn't need a physical exam until December!
