Its a really nice place to hang and have a breakfast bagel and coffee in the mornings. When the chairs and tables are out on the patio its pretty nice and a great place to people watch. Being on the square you are plagued with the same old parking issues, at least there is always the county overflow car park. I am not a health freak so not all of the things on the menu appeal to me. The staff are a friendly bunch who if I recall are all partners in the venture. Most certainly worth a try.
Yep I said it, strolled in there one evening to check it out in my Hugo Boss and cheeky English accent. Had some strange looks from the crowd which were mainly rough and tumble types. Struck up a conversation with a few dudes and played a couple of rounds of pool of which they really burned me. All in all nice crowd, good beer, great time. Next time I will make sure to dress down and get out of the work clothes before heading that way.
Above average steak and seafood restaurant also serve chicken and pork dishes. Decent wine menu. Never had a bad meal. Staff are knowledgeable and pleasant. There is a nice bar area. Seating for the most part is comfortable however I have noticed some B seating which tend to be squashed together and in high traffic areas. Avoid them !!
Its sort of a throwback in my mind to the 60's and 70's type diner. I love this place but not for the pizza. I don't know why Im just not into them. To be honest the only thing I get when I go here is the gyro plate. I guess its kind of a comfort food, the type that tastes so great and attaches right at your mid section. Now the menu is pretty extensive, the staff are very friendly and there will always be something to find on the menu. As I really only stick to the one item I cannot review the rest of the menu items so your mileage may very well vary but if your looking for something different its worth a go.
Hows that politically correct. We used to hang out here at lunch to break the hum drum of the daily meetings. Certainly was a lot more pleasant. The occasional evening spent here during trivia or some other periodic event they would hold (Any excuse for a pitcher of beer) As I understand it this was the original where it started and certainly the crew that work this place were always friendly and exceptionally entertaining. A very weird and eclectic bunch of people visit this place especially in the evening. I swear they put something in the buffalo sauce and you always seem to want to come back for more -:)
The place is great for standard fare. Nice bar, good selection of draught beers. Gets very crowded in the evenings with most of the work crew heading there. If your into telecoms thats the place to network (no Pun intended) as it would seem most of the people that hang there are from that industry.
Overall I like this place. I would certainly recommend it to anyone in this area and have taken people from France, Holland, Switzerland and UK who have all liked it a lot . I love the arrangement of the place its really very well thought out. The bar is a good comfortable size and not just an afterthought. Some cozy dinning and bar tables by the fireplace for winter dinning. The rest of the dinning room is laid out very nicely. The menu is a good collection mainly based on steak and seafood however offers other dishes such as chicken. The food for the most part is excellent however I have noticed of late the quality not so consistent. The one thing that lets this place down is the quality of the wait staff. Other than that you can be sure of a very pleasant dinner and evening. Oh and a pretty nice wine selection. Nothing like Gibbys in St Laurent Montreal but still pretty good.
Opps, I wrote a review here thinking it was the east Cobb location. I cannot seem to delete this review and I have to leave a min of characters to change it so thats why this is here. I have a real review over at the east Cobb .
I can walk into any of these chain restaurants and they just don't inspire me, this one in particular. No wows, standard setup, standard fare, standard rules, standard wait staff, standard menu, standard drinks. The menu may have different and exotic named dishes but the food is pretty similar to any other chain. Bahama breeze falls into this comfortable, familiar and terribly boring chain restaurant where the only think likely to make it even remotely memorable is going to be the company so make sure you go with truly zany friends.
People familiar with this place know that its food quality is definitely not something that you can depend on. It first opened with flying colours and my colleagues and I would often visit for lunch and dinner then it went drastically downhill resulting in servings of nothing short of goop. It seemed to change hands and after that things got a bit better. I went to a colleagues private party there. Daabha did the catering (of course) and it was nothing short of excellent however that has not swayed me to go back because you just cant predict how the food will be. Maybe I will visit again and maybe I will change my mind but I get this feeling it will always be the same.
