The richest ice cream I've ever had. I drive out of my way at least a few times a summer to get here. Great home made ice cream that doesn't need any fixings, but they do have sundaes, etc. A nice dining area to relax in, as well as a few benches outdoors.
I drive across town to go to this store, even though there are three grocery stores closer to my home. The store is big enough to hold everything that I need, but small enough that I don't feel lost! The playhouse/daycare area is fabulous...you can sign your children in to play and have fun while you shop. We have taken cooking classes at this store as well-fabulous classes but a bit expensive for the kids ones. The pharmacy is also wonderful and always very helpful.
The Imagine Nation Museum is a great place for kids age 11-12 and younger. Most areas appeal to the 4-10 age group. A good variety of activities and exhibits.
Not your "usual" ice cream shop. Rita's has many varieties of "italian ices" and four or five varieties of custard (extremely rich soft serve). A refreshing treat in the summer, with lots of fruit flavors that appealed to my children.
We have been to Lake Compounce too many times to count. The season passes are well worth it. A good variety of rides for little ones through adults. There is a new ride every year. The water park area is great, but is usually very crowded- our trick is to go after 3pm when the crowds in the water areas thin out.
All of the staff that we have ever dealt with in this vet practice have been kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Their online/email reminders are extremely helpful. They also have a large selection of foods/toys/educational materials.
