Maybe it was just a bad day - A Really Bad Day! I know it wasn't just me because the lady who set down after us asked the waitress "What is this?" It was supposedly New England Clam Chowder the same thing I had ordered but I didn't have the guts to send it back or to eat it. The waitress never brought us bread and are never made eye contact when she walked by us. Not once did she ask how things were or if we needed anything. Her and the other waitresses were to busy arguing at the bar who was serving what table. I had to raise my hand and voice just for a beer. Needless to say my beer had been empty for a good 20 minutes. The calamari was awful and the salad was torn up iceberg lettuce with a few croutons, oh yea and some boiled egg. What not even a tomato? Well you could always buy a side of tomatoes I was told. WHAT? Did I hear that correctly?
Just when you think it couldn't get worse the stuffed shrimp arrived. Now I will say this they looked pretty good but has we all know looks can be very deceiving. Deceiving it was! Underneath this delicious looking mound of crab stuffing was four medium shrimp that had been butterflied and were hard and gross! Now for the crab stuffing - maybe its the way they do things in LA but I doubt it. The crab meat was that imitation crab crap mixed with somekind of rice, No wonder the plate had so much food on it because it was very inexpensive to make. Oh and speaking of inexpensive this stuffed shrimp cost $22.00. We spent over $90 dollars and because I'm a bartender I still had to tip this horrible place good. One more thing, the lady sitting at the next table just happened to have ordered the same stuffed shrimp. When she saw me place all 4 of them in the to go box she politely asked "what was that?". She rolled her eyes and cried to heaven! I pray her prayers helped!
