Hephzibah is such a great place. The staff is sooo nice! And the wings are absolutely delicious. They even have a smoke house for barbecuing in the back...so you know that people eat here and keep coming back.
The key lime pie is also delicious. Give this place a try if you're by U of M.
I like Blues City Cafe because it looks the most like a diner out of all the Southern restaurants on Beale. Also, they have the best seating at night for live music on the weekends.
Come here and get BBQ whatever...it's all delicious.
King's Palace is another one of those safe restaurants on Beale. They offer your usual southern foods like pulled pork, catfish, pecan pie, etc.
Service is friendly and all the food is delicious. Plus, it's quite reasonably priced.
Bring your out of town guests and enjoy Beale Street.
Half Shell runs along the lines of East End Grill or Huey's (although Huey's is the best). They offer sandwiches, salads, burgers...the typical bar food.
But overall, it's a pretty laid back place to go with friends and watch sports on a lazy night out.
Yes, another restaurant on Beale that serves Southern classics.
However, I prefer this place moreso over the others because it sits on the corner of 2nd and Beale Street, so it's easier for folks to find, plus it's in the middle of Beale.
Nice service and price, and the food is always Memphis good.
Folk's Folly has it in the name: Steak House. It's a more upscale place to go for a date for two. I sent my parents there for an anniversary one year, and they were very pleased. Plus, they're steak people and raved about their food.
They also have a very good wine selection here.
Bol A Pasta is a Memphis restaurant run by the Grisanti family specializing in Italian. The food is pretty tastey and comes at the right price. They also have a fair selection of wines.
Good place for casual Italian dinner.
If you're looking for traditional pasta dishes that you think of when you think "Italian," then go elsewhere.
If you're looking for Mediterranean Italian, this is the right place.
The food tastes pretty good, but it's a tad bit pricey.
East End is a good place for casual dining, but moreso drinking, with friends.
Good place to grab a burger or some type of sandwich. But it's a little more lively at night. You can watch the game and have some beer and a fair price.
Fleet Feet is another great runners' shoe shop destination. This place is packed with helpful staff who knows what to look for when pairing you with the right shoes.
They even have a treadmill in the store with cameras set up around it so they can watch your feet as you run. Very helpful in determining the right footwear.
They also have a fair selection of running gear.
