This place looks like it's falling apart. Once upon a time, I'm sure it was a lovely place to go to play some mini golf, but the course looks so ancient that I feel like it's a safety hazard to play here.
Recommend Golf 'n' Stuff. Same price, much better course.
The Cow Pony is the Tucson partier's destination on Sunday evenings. But get there at 7 or you won't get a seat to watch the show.
It has all the makings of a wild bar. Bikers, girls dancing on the bar, and partial nudity.
This place isn't for the prudish.
This place is ghetto. Flat-out ghetto. And in addition to that, there have been several homicides here!
It's located in a seemingly okay part of town, but the people who come here are dangerous.
There isn't even a need to talk about the music (bad), the prices (bad), the service (bad). People get shot here!
Go to the foothills or risk life.
El Porton is a pretty good place to grab some quick Mexican food. Service is always fast and efficient, and they're good about refilling the chips and salsa.
As with most Mexican places, it's relatively cheap and quick.
Come if you're just looking for a casual lunch or dinner.
Moreso in the heart of the Cooper Young district, Cafe Ole is the place to get some delicious Mexican food and fill up on margaritas.
I'm a lightweight, so while Randi thinks the drinks aren't as strong, they'll do it for me. ;)
Prices are fair, wait staff is friendly, and it's just located in one of the coolest parts of town.
Automatic Slims is a wild alternative to dining in Memphis. The menu is very creative, blending global recipes and southern tradition. My favorite is the Jamaican jerk duck.
The drinks here are also very fruity and fun.
The price can be a bit high, but it's worth the amazing food and beautifully intriguing interior. Absolutely love this place.
This place is packed whether it's college night or Tejano night.
If you come, be prepared to watch lots of young girls try to boost their self esteem by dancing nastily in cages around the dance floor.
However, if you're not into that, you can easily get away because this place is huge. So enjoy your large $2.50 Long Island iced tea on the other side and get very, very drunk.
One of a few gay clubs in Tucson, and it's on the edge of 4th Ave. So it's a good place to club on the weekend, because you're in walking distance of many other bars.
The dance floor isn't the biggest I've seen, but it atleast gives you the illusion of a packed house.
The drinks here are also strong and well priced, and they have special deals every day of the week.
Cool place to dance with the girl or gays.
I concur on all counts with the gentleman below, this place is WILD.
It's even featured in some issue of Maxim magazine.
But for those who don't want to read Tom's entire spiel, just remember: Heineken and PBR only, chicks...don't buy condoms, and get the owner's face branded on ya, and you have the 50 cent discount for life.
Come if only for the experience. I've only been once, and that is all I will ever need. :)
Zemam's, like any Ethiopian restaurant you may find yourself in, is owned and operated by a nice family, so you can never go wrong with that!
The food is delicious every time. My favorite, as always, is the lamb. Plus, food here is cheap. You'll spend less than $10 for a meal.
Only complaint is that it's a bit small, and therefore gets a little crowded on the weekends. But still a very nice, humble place to eat.
