I have been using Pleasant View Pet Resort for the past few years. I have a toy poodle and each time I take Scooter in I am met with friendly courteous people. They do a tremendous job on grooming Scooter and when I have a special request for a particular styling, say for instance the way his ears are cut or asking them to take care on how close they shave his paws they always accommodate. It isn't easy trusting someone with your pet. Scooter is a special member of the family and Pleasant View Pet Resort has my full confidence that he is well taken care of and treated with a genuine concern and affection for his well being. I recommend Pleasant View Pet Resort for their courteous service and fair pricing and most importantly the care in which they treat my Scooter.
I was visiting in Baton Rouge, LA a couple of years ago for my aunt;s 70th birthday. She had a beautiful banner that had been made for her by Gretna Signworks. This banner was very well made and designed. The company used really good materials and as far as the party decorations the banner was definitely the highlight. A couple of months ago I went to my cousin's 50th birthday celebration. She also lives in Baton Rouge and Gretna Signworks did her party banner. I noticed once again the high quality workmanship and materials. I decided while I was there to have some work done for me. I had them to create some vinyl auto graphics for my car utilizing the University of Tennessee logo. The placement of the graphic was literally perfectly centered on my rear window and I was given extra decals (vinyl) to bring back home at no charge. I thought this was very considerate and since I probably won't actually have more work done there because I live in Tennessee a very nice gesture. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and I would, if I lived in New Orleans be a regular customer. I highly recommend Gretna Sign works to anyone needing any type of graphic or sign work done.
Recently (10/16/2007) I had window film/tint put on my 2007 Focus ST. I checked a couple of places before deciding on Tennessee Tint. I stopped in on a Tuesday. I believe they are normally closed on Tuesdays, but caught a few of the guys there and they wanted to make a little money and tinted my car for me. The main reason I selected Tennessee Tint is because the owner is a UT graduate and I am a big UT fan. Looking back that was a lame reason for choosing to do business there. Their selection of film shades was quite limited, but they do carry Llumar window tint which is arguably the best. My only real choices, if I wanted the Llumar tint were ATR-15 or ATR-35 charcoal. The ATR-35 was just too light for a black car and now that I have the ATR-15, which looks great from the outside, is difficult to see out of at night. Other companies I had visited carried the ATR-20 and ATR-25 charcoal, which looking back I wish I had gotten. However, Tennessee Tint did a good job with the installation and they had the best prices. If not for the limited choices in Llumar shades I would have given Tennessee Tint 4 stars. The quality of work and customer service deserves 4 stars, but for me the tint limitations just don't merit me doing so. If you're on a tight budget and want either very light or very dark tint then Tennessee Tint is the place to go. Good work at a good price, but limited choices.
Update 12/02/2007. Front driver's side tint had blemishes (tiny slits in the film). Replaced both front windows with ATR-35 (legal) and put strip across the front windshield using ATR-15. This would have been a great experience since I was dealing with Wes, but i overheard the manager, Chris saying/complaining he was doing an $80.00 for free. Wes had indicated I could get the front strip for free since I had to bring the car back for the blemishes. I paid for the front strip and didn't get the graphic put on the rear window since Chris, the managers remark was quite rude. If you are going to complain about doing something don't let the customer hear it. I would give Tennessee Tint 2 stars except for the fact that Wes (an employee) was very courteous. His boss could learn something from him. I will not recommend this company for one reason, the managers attitude was deplorable.
Additional update 12/05/2007. I incorrectly called the manager Chris, when in fact his name is Scott and he is the owner. He appears to think he has done me a favor, yet he made sure that I knew that he didn't truly want to do me this favor. I received an email from Tennessee Tint. I was called ungrateful and the owner Scott felt he had to retort concerning his companies review. I hope that no matter how he took the review that the reply email I felt obligated to send to him cleared up a few things. He never had to agree to do anything for me, except for maybe replace the driver side tint that was blemished. A simple no we can't do that or there will be a charge of so much will be needed to accommodate my request. This would not a bad review made. I can't recommend Tennessee Tint due primarily to bad customer relations as it concerns me. Wes and Scott do good, if not excellent work. It is too bad that his remarks, which in his email he stated he wanted me to hear, is just bad business. I only give a review as it pertains to me. You may and probably will have a better experience than my second trip to Tennessee Tint. Still Tennessee got 3 stars.
I purchased a new car (2007 Ford Focus ST) and at 550 miles or so I decided it was time for it to get a good wax and exterior detailing done for the winter (detailing done 11/19/2007). In the past I did all the heavy detailing myself, waxing, buffing and the like. Now about all I do is give the car a bath and dry it with a chamois. I digress so I will finish the review. Another detailer quoted me a price of around $300.00 which was just plain ridiculous since my car is relatively new (2 months since purchase) and wasn't in need of major detailing work, i.e. deep scratches, visible swirls, etc. I had been told about Enfield's Detail by my neighbor, who has an auto upholstery business in the same area. He told me their prices were very reasonable and did good work. I called Enfield's Detail and dropped my car off around 10:00 in the morning. They were somewhat busy and it took a few minutes for me to be waited on, but when someone got to me they were very courteous. Since my Focus ST is new I was very apprehensive and uneasy with leaving the car in the care of a company I had never used. Enfield's Detail had my car done early in the afternoon and when I returned to pick up my car it was practically glowing from the street. Upon closer inspection I found 99.9% of the "spider webs", (very tiny swirls) probably from the dealership cleaning gone. No wax or residue left anywhere on the car and the wheels and tires looked excellent. In other words the car looked better than when it was picked up from the dealer. For $50.00 this is a very good value when considering the quality of work and excellent customer service. Great work in a timely manner at a fair price. What more can a person ask for? Enfields Detail also does interior detailing. I would recommend Enfield's Detail.
Update. Detailing had orbital swirls revealed after first wash. Returned and Enfield's Detail gladly took care of the issue and thanked me for coming back so they could resolve the problem and make my experience with them as good as my original review. Since then, wash reveals no orbital swirls and the customer service was spectacular.
I have had two experiences with Xtreme Auto Accessories. The first was a couple of years ago when they charged me too much for putting window film on my car and I was too naive at the time to know tinting cost. More recently I had a cold air intake ordered and installed. I can't complain about the cost of the intake system, but installation cost for such a simple install was quite expensive. When I got my car back and got home I realized the the shop had scratched my paint when removing the old intake and putting in the new intake. When I confronted the manager he was almost arrogant in the way he acted toward me. Oh we couldn't have done that. Our mechanic is too good to make a mistake or be so careless. Eventually he conceded and said he would take care of it and have it repaired in Xtremes' detailing department. I left and didn't return. I made a mistake the first time trusting them with putting on my tint thinking I was getting a good price. I should have learned from the first experience, but I decided to try them again. NOT AGAIN. I got it taken care of at another shop. It cost me a little, but I didn't have to deal with the conceited, arrogant employees. I don't recommend Xtreme Auto Accessories. Yeah the store is big and clean, but the way you are treated has to account for something. Careless installation and high prices along with poor customer service equals Xtreme Auto Accessories.
I searched for cars on the web in a 3 state area. The search area included Nashville, Memphis, Little Rock and Jackson, MS., along with every mom and pop dealership in numerous small towns. Dobbs Ford Wolfchase was the ONLY dealer to have the particular car I wanted, a 2007 Focus ST. I'm not sure as whether or not I got a "good" deal because it was only a month before the 2008's came out, but considering that it was the only one I could find and I got it for around $3000.00 off sticker ($21,125 and paid $18,250) and 2.9% financing, (4years) even after a bankruptcy in 1998 I feel good about my purchase. The car is loaded (leather interior, moon roof, appearance package, perimeter alarm, audiophile sound) and is a blast to drive. My overall experience with the dealership, sales manager and fincance officer was very good. Even with my bankruptcy they made it possible for me to get the great financing and get a great start on rebuilding my credit.
