Spud's has excellent fish and chips that I crave every time I visit Seattle. I enjoy getting fish at Spud's and walking the food across the street to Green Lake. I think ordering the double fish is the key to avoid getting too many fries, and add some clams and prawns for variety. They have halibut in addition to the more traditional cod, and the blackberry milkshakes are always a treat.
My children have been going to Dr. Nelson since we moved to Arlington. They are very gentle with younger children and they provide top quality work. It is a very convenient location with ample parking. The building and office is very clean and attractive. The practice understands military families and provides top rate service.
The Triangle has excellent food and fun atmosphere. It is a great place to meet friends, as it has nice appetizers and good selection of beers on draft. The menu has nice burgers and their fries are great. It is really hopping on Friday and Saturday nights, but much more relaxed earlier during the week. It has plenty of seating both at the bar, casual restaurant seating and on their outside on their patio.
Nice Irish pub in the Clarendon section of Arlington. Convenient to the Clarendon metro, but parking can be a challenge. The beer selection is good, although I have always enjoyed their Guinness with a Shepard's pie or bangers and mash. Can tend to be very loud, but that can be half the fun.
Bugsy's is a fun pizza place in the heart of Old Town. The lunch pizza buffet is a very convenient stop with the kids for lunch. They offer thin crust and Chicago style pizza and have many different styles on the bar at lunch. Although not crowded, there is always enough of a crowd to keep the pizza and salad moving at lunch. A very easy and quick place to stop and enjoy lunch in Old Town.
This restaurant has a convenient location in the Lee Harrison Shopping Center. The restaurant has new decor and offers good value in their lunch special. The lunch menu offers soup, rice and entree. I have always enjoyed their Kung Pao Chicken. Convenient home delivery in the local area.
The Army Navy Country Club in Fairfax is a little more relaxed than the clubhouse in Arlington. The golf course offer a more modern style compared with the traditional style at Arlington. The club has an excellent Brunch on Sunday, which is a relaxed family friendly buffet. The Bistro Night specials are always a treat as well as wine tasting dinners. Large out door seating for the summer and cozy atmosphere inside for the rest of the year.
A great stop heading up to, or returning from Crystal Mountain. This tavern is a tavern, and if you try to order liquor you will be reminded of such. Great chili and an opportunity to rest from a day of skiing next to the fire. Have a Rainer Beer and you will fit in fine with the lumberjacks that call Greenwater home. Power Magazine had repeated given Naches Tavern the nod as a part of the experience that makes Northwest Skiing unique.
The home of Full Sail Beer offers a relaxed atmosphere enjoyed regularly by many of the locals living in Hood River. Family friendly with great beer on tap, and of course, you can take it home with you as well.
The lunch buffet has most the traditional Chinese offerings in addition to a nice selection of sushi and dim sum. The combination of soup and appetizers make it worth the travel from campus, although the prize is higher than most the options that you can walk to from campus.
