Located on Rubber Avenue, A Better Way Wholesale Autos is a nice place to buy a used car. They have a huge inventory. The cars all appear to be in good condition with cosmetic and other repairs completed before they make it to the lot. The sales people were easy to talk to and not very pushy like at some other lots. The offer vehicles at a fair price.
A1 Pizza, near the corner of Rubber Avenue and Cherry street in Naugatuck makes a decent pizza, granted, they are no Pepe's. Who is? It looks like a dump from the outside, but inside it is fairly clean and organized. Their prices are good. the pizzas are ready when they say they will be and they deliver.
Lehigh Fuel Incorporated has been my oil company for many, many years. I've never wanted to change or go anywhere else. The offer pre-buy plans and budget plans. I have never run out of oil using their automatic delivery system. They just know when to come and I never have to think about it. I have a temperamental boiler, that the technicians there know how to deal with. They also service my air conditioning unit annually. I couldn't be happier with the service I get from Lehigh Fuel.
Whether you need gas, or a cool drink after a round of golf at nearby Hop Brook Golf Course, Rte 63 Pit Stop is a great place to stop. Clean and well stocked, the staff is courteous. The prices are the same as they are at any convenience store.
The last time I ate at the Fireside Inn I had the most amazing fettucine with fresh mushroom sauce. It was so delicious, and served with a really fresh and well made salad. Everyone in my party enjoyed what they had ordered. The staff was excellent, and there was some entertainment in the lounge. the serving size was excellent and the prices were average.
Tbs Asian Food is a small Asian food market on White St. If you didn't know it was there, it might easily be overlooked. They sell a good assortment of products that you can not find in your average market. I especially like the assortment of sauces they sell. Their prices are fair and the shop keepers are always pleasant.
Capers Restaurant is a good place to eat. The interior is clean and bright. The food is fresh and well prepared. The staff is friendly and efficient. The prices are moderate.
At work we received a lovely basket from a vendor at Christmas time. It was from Emilys Gourmet Foods & Gift Baskets. It had a great assortment of goodies that all of the ladies in the office went nuts over. It was beautifully arranged, and all of the items in it were nice and fresh. Since it was a gift, I can't speak to their pricing, but it was an impressive gift.
The Connecticut Humane Society has been doing their compassionate work for a long number of years. We have them to thank for our dog, Sadie. Previous owners could no longer care for her, and so, we got to take her in. The Humane Society made our adoption quick and easy. They helped us get her spayed, and made sure her shots were up to date. Their caring staff and volunteers do a wonderful job. I don't know how they don't want to bring all of the animals home with them!
Phoenix Record Shop is one of the only places around to go buy music if you are not into the mainstream pop music that pervades society today. It is a bit out of the way, and a bit unorganized, but definitely a gem in the rough. The staff is helpful and incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to underground music. The prices are good, considering you can't get a lot of their selections any where else.
