This is a great restaurant. The decor (including the servers outfits) is 1950s. The servers periodically stop to do a song and dance routine, there is a big revolving door to get in, and the food is great greasy spoon cuisine. Perfect for young teen birthday parties.
I've eaten at two of the larger Versailles and love them. This small, fast-food style version, however, is just not up to snuff. There were fewer choices, it cost more, and the food just wasn't as good.
The service was ridiculously slow for an empty place, and when the pizza finally came it wasn't as hot as you'd expect from freshly made pizza. The taste was pretty good, but that may have just been because we were soooo hungry by the time the food arrived. The waitress was very abrupt, as well, and they didn't have any accommodations (high chairs, etc.) for little children.
Everything we've ever had on the menu has been delicious. The drinks tend to be a bit pricey, but the food is reasonable for the area. There can be long waits on weekend evenings, so plan for that. My 4-year-old loves the waterfall that covers the wall in the entry.
Go for lunch and you get a lot of pretty good food for not very much money. The funky techno style decor makes this an interesting place to have a meal.
With Chianti bottles lining the ceiling and red check table cloths, this place has a very "Italian restaurant" feel. The food is tasty, with big portions and moderate prices. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about what is on the menu.
Good food and good beer make this restaurant a good choice. The place tends to be a bit crowded, especially on the weekend, so plan on a wait. I've got a friend in Northern Cal. who periodically makes a special trip down here just to eat at this restaurant.
Dr. O'Connell is part of the Kaiser Permanente group. He is in Family Practice. He is the first doctor I've had who takes as much time with me as I need. He never makes me feel as if he is trying to get out the door. He takes any symptoms I have seriously and checks up on them. He is even a nice guy to boot!
My family has been using this dentist for 28 years- since I got my permanent teeth. Once, when I got my 1st "real" job, my insurance didn't cover him so I went to someone else. Now I know that Dr. Grock is the dentist for me. I use him regardless of insurance. I happily drive 45 minutes to see him. Now that I have children of my own he is their dentist, too. Even my husband, who is a bit dentist phobic, is happy with Dr. Grock. He is a terrific dentist.
If you can manage to get a member to invite you, you should definitely go. The food is good, and the magic is top-notch. The up close magic in the small drawing rooms is particularly amazing. I have been twice, and it has been a different and mind boggling experience each time.
