I purchased a bicycle from Village Cycle Center 20 months ago. Because I live about twenty miles from the store I had not brought the bike in for either of the two "free" fall tune-ups. I phoned the store prior to bringing the bike in and stated the above and the guy on the phone said if I could find my receipt to simply bring it with me when I brought the bike in. Sounded perfect to me. I found the receipt ($1495.00), loaded up the bike and drove into the city. When I arrived there were 7-10 employees standing around doing nothing, the person I spoke with on the phone passed me off to the service kid, where I got the, "oh the time expired on your free tune-ups, sorry, but I could do it now for $70" I almost gave in until I said I would pick the bike up the next week when I drove back into the city and the kid said, "oh that will be $5 per day storage."
