My son had to have emergency surgery and he had very good care at Grossmont Hospital. He was admitted in a very short time and had the surgery later the same day. The doctor doing the surgery came in and explained the procedure and took the time to answer all our questions. The nurses were nice and helpful. My son returned a week later for a check up, making sure he was healing properly. We were very pleased with the hospital and doctors.
Nats West Inc
My family and I had lunch at Nat's and we were pleasantly surprised at the tasty food served. Nat's is located in a strip mall, and it's cutely decorated. As you walk in a mural of a farmhouse and apple trees painted on the wall catches your eye, and throughout the restaurant there are shelves displaying roosters, and various kitchen decor. There is counter seating available, as well as tables and booths. Nat's is open daily for breakfast and lunch. On the weekends they close at 3 p.m., 2:30 on weekdays. I had a turkey burger with a salad, which was quite delicious. There portions are good size and very reasonably priced. You definitely get plenty to eat. The menu included many healthy choices and there are also good daily specials available.
Natures Rx
This cafe/health store is located very close to downtown Palm Springs. We went there while visiting the area. They have many vegetarian and vegan choices on their menu for breakfast and lunch. They serve healthy foods with not too much oil. Very reasonably priced. The health store had a good variety of vitamins, herbs, and health foods. There is outside seating or take out is available too. We enjoyed our meal.
Babe's B-B-Que Grill
Last summer my friends and I ate lunch at Babe's. We enjoyed the cowboy atmosphere, with the waiters and waitresses dressed as cowboys/cowgirls. Our lunches were delicious. They serve very large portions on the combo plates and my two friends couldn't eat all their lunches. I enjoyed a smaller combo with a barbeque pork sandwich and salad, and it was just the right size. We had great service, and had a great time. One unique item on the menu is their sweet potato fries. This is a good place to go if you're really hungry. You won't be when you finish!
Menchie's Frozen Yogurt
Menchies has a wide variety of flavors including sugar free, low carb and dairy free. You get to measure your own and pay by the weight. I love the cappucino flavor. There are loads of different toppings to choose from, dry and fruit, even hot fudge and sugar free hot fudge, Yum! It's a nice way to top off an evening with a cool dessert.
Yogurt Zone
I went to this yogurt shop while visiting my family, and I have to say, I've had better. I usually like chocolate, but this chocolate wasn't very good. It left an after taste in my mouth. Also, the store was very crowded and it took a long time to serve ourselves. The toppings counter was pretty messy too. I think I'll go other places for yogurt next time.
High Tea Cottage
The inside of this cottage is really nice, well decorated and clean. The owner is from Australia and has brought a little bit of the "Aussie" flavor by serving an authentic Australian meatpie with some of their tea courses. The tea and food are served on beautiful china. The out door seating is actually in an alley between buildings, but is decorated nicely with vines and greenery.
Relative to other tea shops, they are a little more expensive for their high tea.
Yozen Frogurt
I have visited this yogurt shop several times with my son, and they have delicious flavors. Flavors change daily, and they do have flavors that are sugar free! The yogurt is rich and creamy. So yummy!! Prices are comparable to other yogurt shops, but I do think this is the best! They are always so busy, with a line of people waiting to the door. Check it out.
Leon's Appliance Pick-Up
We were in need of a refrigerator. A friend of mine recommended Leon's for a good quality used one. We visited his location, picked one out and it was delivered the very next morning. He has good prices and you can be confident that the appliance is working and in good condition, or he will give you a refund. Leon was very nice and helpful. If you don't want to spend hundreds on a new appliance, check this place out for a good quality used one.
San Diego Appliance Svc
This center takes old appliances and fixes them if needed, and recycles to new customers. I got a great deal on a used washer in really good condition.We picked up the washer the same day. The salesmen were really helpful. Delivery is available for a small fee. Good service and good price. I'd definitely buy from them again. Ask for Roy.
