Preferred Tire
This shop has new and used tires for sale, as well as wheel alignment and repair services. My son bought some used tires that were in great condition and very reasonably priced. He got great service.
Martha's Tamale House
We have been going to Martha's for several years and like their Mexican food,especially their chips. We usually go about three times a week just to get their chips. We arrived at 7:50 one evening to just get chips and as we were parking, the employee that had been outside on the patio, ran inside shut the door, locked it, and turned off the lights. They are suppose to stay open until 8 p.m. She probably thought we were ordering food, but still, her hours are suppose to be until 8 p.m. We will never go to this establishment again! We will find another place for our chips!
Cinnabon
This cafe is open 24 hours a day and it's really convenient for a late night or early morning snack. They serve great deli sandwiches, soups, chili, pastries, muffins, coffee drinks, and ice cream. The prices are good, and if you gamble you can sometimes use your player's card points to pay for your meal.
Mr G's Roadhouse 95
This is a very casual restaurant with regular American cuisine. It's a fun family atmosphere and the food is pretty good. Prices are reasonable, most meals under $10. They have great burgers and sandwiches. They are only open at 10 a.m. to 6p.m. most days and I like to stop by and take out lunch. The only complaint is that they only take cash, no credit or debit cards.
Pony Express
This car wash is a fairly new one located in Lakeside. The staff is great and I always get good service. Kudos to the manager, I think his name is Steve. The price is only $5 and you get to vacuum for free. You can take your time vacuuming and not worry about having a time limit. My car always looks great.
Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort
This casino resort has everything. Probably the best view of the river and dam from the rooms, four great restaurants, and several fast food and snack bars. It's great to have options for the kids, such as video game room, bowling, and movie theatres. They even have pool tables upstairs for the teens. And, don't forget to check out Don Laughlin's car collection. Plus, lots of shopping within the casino. It's a real fun place!
Super One Dollar Store
This store reopened just a couple months ago, and they have a lot of stuff. School supplies, toys, picture frames, candles, plastics, lots of odds and ends. Don't let the sign fool you., not everything is a dollar. I thought it said $1 dollar store, but when you read the smaller print, it's says "and up'. You can still get some good deals. They have one aisle with food items, canned goods, soda pop, cookies. It's worth a stop for a bargain.
Kyushu Ramen
I loved eating at Kyushu Ramen. I had lunch with family and the food was quite delicious. I tried Yakisoba, a fried noodle,vegetable and chicken dish that was very tasty. The Roasted Pork soup noodle is excellent too. The prices are reasonable, about $6 to $8. They do have a sushi bar available.
China Star Restaurant
This is a good Chinese restaurant and if you want authentic Chinese food, you'll love this place. It's a family owned restaurant, and they have great service because they want you to come back. One of my favorite dishes is the Taiwanese Rice Noodle.
Chi's Chinese Cuisine
Chi's has great food and service. It's a favorite place to go and we go quite often. It's very authentic Cantonese Chinese, and I love the Beef Soup Noodle dish. The prices are really good, not too expensive. The service has always been quick. It's a small restaurant, very clean, and kid friendly. They do have high chairs.
