This store is filled with great deals and great styles. I can find anything I am looking for from casual to dress. The prices are right. They keep up with the trends and styles.
I came in with an idea in mind for a tattoo. The tattoo artist provided ideas and suggestions to enhance my idea. He then free handed the image after discussing the best location. The tattoo looks great and it did not break the bank.
Mel's Diner is a diner that has been around for over 25 years. It is locally owned and operated. It is your classic diner. The menu is the same as any other diner. The ambiance is the difference. The pricing is great. The food is very good (especially breakfast). It is a hang out for the elder men in Giddings to stop by and have coffee and share a story or knowledge with those around. It is located on the highway and has easy access. Parking can be a problem.
When we go back home to visit, we try to make sure we make the 65 mile drive to Austin once for the buffet at China Star. The food is excellent, hot and very tasty. There is plenty of it as well. The restaurant has something for everyone, even if you don't want Chinese. They also offer a complimentary dessert bar. My sister-in-law orders steamed crab legs on the side to go with the buffet. The meal is reasonably priced for the buffet. It is well worth the drive.
My brother and sister-in-law took my wife and I in for dinner. The food was not tasty at all. They really bragged on this place and it was a total let down.
I was told this was the best Chinese food around. It is just better than edible. For the price I wish it was better. I guess if I really want Chinese food, I will have to stay in the city.
My wife and I took her sister and husband out to eat. We settled on Circle W. They live in the Giddings area and thought we would like it. Well, the service was slow, the menu was short, and the food wasn't all that good. On top of things, there was a drunk woman trying to sing while the whole place laughed at her. I was told she was a regular there. Not Satisfied!!!!
Burton sausage is the best sausage made. I just wish we could find it in the Dallas area. Every time we go home we have to stock up on sausage to last until the next trip. If you like sausage, you have to try it if you are ever in Central Texas. They have a variety to choose from. I like them all. I will not eat sausage anywhere else. Nothing has the taste and texture of Burton's.
My wife was born and raised in Giddings, Texas. We have lived in the Dallas area for the past 22 years. When we go home to visit, we have to make a trip to B&W for sausage and peanuts. This is a small town grocery store with small town prices. It is clean and neat. The employees treat you very well. It is rather enjoyable going in to shop.
I had my brakes done at Parker Road Automotive. We were about to go out of town and I needed them serviced in hurry. My wife took them in and Tom dropped everything and did them to accommodate us. The repairs were great but the service even better.
