Spa At Desert Canyons
I've only been to one other spa in my life- in San Diego. I came here for a friend's birthday and decided to indulge in a massage. I have never felt so relaxed. It was just a 30 minute basic massage, but I left feeling like I was renewed. At the other spa I went to, the massage hurt at times, but here, it was pure bliss! I highly recommend and look forward to a return trip.
Main On Main
I found this to be a great experience. I think this place is new, so they may have been trying extra hard to be friendly. The server was super nice and attentive and we never had to get up once to go to the bar to get a drink. Great place to just lounge. It wasn't very crowded either and the music wasn't too loud.
Taverna Tony
I came here for a friend's birthday- since we were with a large group, they had a pre-set menu for us, and it was wonderful! For $35 we got about 10 appetizers to choose from and I had the BEST lamb that I've ever had. It really feels like you are in Eurpoe, with the smells and flavors. I LOVE this place!
Purple Palm Restaurant
If you are looking for super-chic ambiance, then this is THE place to come in Palm Springs. I came here for drinks with friends, and they were very well-made. Even though we weren't eating, I glanced at the menu, and it looked wonderful! I love Mediterranean food, so I'd love to come back here on my next vacation for dinner!
Miro's Restaurant
I came here last weekend on vacation and I ordered the sea bass, which was incredibly delicious and melted in my mouth. My friend prefers Italian food and got a plate of pesto pasta, I love options like this- where you can have 2 types of foods. Friendly service to top it all off!
The Collection
Getting to Hideaway is difficult, well, if you don't feel like paying ten dollars for parking! And after all the gas money it takes to get to Malibu, who does? Sure, the location is excellent, but the food is sub-par. I had a salad and got sick of it after 3 bite. over priced, too.
Robin's Nest Cafe
You can tell that this is an old restaurant- but it's cozy and the best part is that it is right on the water! So you can take a stroll along the harbor and stop in for a meal. I've only had breakfast here- I really liked my spinach and mushroom omlette! nice wait staff too!
Lemon Grass Restaurant
One of my biggest pet peeves about asian food is that the chicken often has a ton of gristle and cartalidge in it- rendering it inedible! I asked specifically about this before I ordered my chicken curry dish, but of course there were a few pieces that were totally not able to be chewed. While the flavors of the curry were excellent, the chicken totally grossed me out and ruined my meal. Stick to vegitarian.
Anita's Restaurant
This used to be my favorite place to come to on my lunch breaks with friends during high school! I just went back a few weeks ago and the food is still as good and authentic as ever! I love the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. The decor is very festive and everyone is very friendly.
California Crepe Co
So the location of this place isn't the greatest- it is located in a mall food court, so it is loud and feels like a cafeteria.
However, the crepes are really good! I had a savory one with chicken and garlic that was quite tasty! Prices are reasonable as well.
