We took clients here, it's on Melrose. There is a cool freestanding fireplace right when you walk in. The waiters aren't stuffy, they're very friendly and attentive. I started with an amazing citrus and avocado salad. Then I got the steak for two (could have been a steak for 3 or 4). One of the best steaks I've had, with whipped mashed potatoes. This place features the same owner or chef as AOC. Watch out for the panna cotta with orange granita, it's the same at AOC, and not good! They have a cute back patio area where we sat. Very good wine too!
Mrs. Garcia's also caters. They come to our office every Wednesday and the same man makes all of our food to order. The food is really good for a really good price. They make good burritos, quesadillas and tostadas. The hot salsa isnt' really that hot. The man is very nice and has become a fixture in our office !
We went out to dinner here with reps before shopping in the mall. The wine is decent and so is the food. They have roast chickens, but I got seafood. My coworker got short ribs and they were amazing. They help is good. It tends to get crowded and be an after work drink spot.
From the looks of it, it does not look sanitary...or safe. But you get past that. We always go during lunch and I always get the turkey burger with swiss and avocado. I don't usually get the combo with the fries because they are thick cut. A lot of people I go with also get the Philly Cheesesteak. The same people are always working there and they are SO nice! There is a good amount of seating and there is some parking in the back.
I went here on a lunch break once and to pick up food when working late. The food was pretty good and the service was fast during lunch. They were very organized with our take out food and prepared a large amount of food very quickly. The downside is that the strip mall parking lot is annoying. It packs up especially during lunch.
I've been to several of Cabo locations in LA and they have probably the best happy hour in LA. 2 for 1 drinks from about 4pm-8pm. The one on Wilshire gets pretty packed around happy hour; there are a lot of college students in the area. Their nachos are also good as well as the Sunset Rolls. It's also a good place to watch sports.
Great Italian food with real Italian waiters. We took clients here. The place is very small and well decorated. You feel like you're getting personalized attention. Very extensive wine list. I had a caprese salad but I asked for the Burrata cheese, SO GOOD. Then I had the halibut for dinner. Even the olive oil and bread to begin with was amazing. My boss had paparadelle pasta with quail, and it was also amazing. Good all around, especially if someone else is paying :)
Oh, there's also a good upstairs area that you can rent out for large parties.
This place is really convenient and right next to the movie theatre. They have pizza by the slice with quite a variety. You can sit outside and eat it too. The downside is that they only take cash but there are several ATMs in the area. It's on the promenade so there's always good people watching!
Trastevere is located on the 3rd Street Promenade. There is a ton of outdoor seating so the people watching on the Promenade is great. The food is pretty good, a little overpriced for what it is, but what you're really paying for is to sit outside and eat/drink on the Promenade. I went with a friend of mine for dessert and wine and they almost didn't let us sit outside because it is "reserved" for people that are eating. Guess we slipped through the cracks!
They have many flavor and topping option, but I agree the cash only thing is kind of a bummer. Parking is also very difficult. The best thing about this place is they have good fresh fruit for toppings, like Pinkberry. There is a decent amount of seating and they have fat free and lo-cal options.
