The place is world class. It's the best place I've ever been to. They were more than willing to help with any questions or problems that I had. (problems were of my own and not theirs.. i.e. How do I get here?)
Their concierge service is exceptional and everything was great.
The one thing that we completely wasted our money on was the spa. I felt like a local factory worker was giving me a backrub. It did NOTHING for my wife and myself and was a complete waste of $200.00. There was a younger african lady who was awesome, but everyone else just plained BLEW. (I went with a group of people... and the complaints were of the like.)
I've been with many dogs who have gone to through narnia and known a few of the employees (who later renigged their liking for the place... but I think it's just bitter ex-employees).
Anyway, the dogs I know that have completed the training AND the owners have kept up with the training have all turned out INCREDIBLE.
It's such a great place. I couldn't be happier w/them.
i drove by the place yesterday and there is a for rent sign up in the window. I think they went out of business.
It's a shame. perhaps Karens' pet grooming put them out, but they were pretty nice people.
We brought our 40lb dog there and we were told AFTER the visit she only takes larger dogs. She said my dog didn't eat for a few days (not due to her negligence, but the dog was afraid)... which is strange because my dog is VERY socialized (daily dog park visits) and gets along great w/all other dogs.
She has video cameras in the basement to watch the dogs when she's not down there (and they're still down there) which surprised me if the dogs are playing.. what happens if a fight breaks out? How long is it going to take 1 or 2 (part time help) people to break up a fight if you're upstairs and the dogs are in the basement?
It's a GREAT location and a PERFECT spot for boarding. It's a GREAT idea she has, but I think it could be a bit better run.
We called on a Wed for the coming weekend and she wouldn't meet with us because Tuesdays are her only days to meet new clients. She has appointments for newbies ONLY on Tuesday nights (not flexible at all.) We had a last minute appt. a few years ago and needed to go out of town. Is it too hard to keep the house clean ALL week? I'm not sure why it's only on Tuesdays. ... but obviously she still has business coming in.
I don't see it working well as other more flexible daycares open up in the area.
