Russell Payne Painting has been in business for many years in Vero Beach. They are well staffed and do very high quality work from small residential to large commercial buildings.
Don's is a reliable and reasonable auto service/repair shop. I have found them to be honest and they actually do the work that they quoted to you. It is a much better option than the local auto dealer for whatever the make of you car is.
Norris's Famous Place for Ribs has the best onion ring loaf in the world. Imagine dozens of onion rings entwined and deep-fried in the shape of a loaf. The ribs are delicious and so are the crab cakes. Sorry, can't comment on the rest of the menu, I alwas get the same thing.
Mrs. Mac's food is great, just make sure you've taken your cholesterol medication if you eat there. The food is old fashioned diner type food, the onion rings are out of this world. There are healthy choices on the menu as well.
The atmosphere is amusing. Everything is auto oriented. Even the menu covers are out dated license plates. Fun place to eat and reasonbly priced too!
Great Wings at reasonable prices. Old fasioned Southern style sides like fried okra, collard greens, slaw etc. Wings come in a variety of hot or honey barb-b-q. Great place to feed the family.
Kelly's is a nice local Irish style pub. Their sandwiches are very reasonbly priced and of ample size. I usually can share a sandwich with a co-worker and still be comfortably full. It's a fun place to stop after work on occasion for a cold beer or iced tea.
Giorgios New York Pizzaria has excellent pizza, calzones and Italian dishes. But you must allow a lot of time when you order. All of the ingredients seem to be premium, but they definately take their time in preparation.
Vero Beach Bagels Etc. has delicious bagels and breakfast sandwiches. The coffee is always fresh and never bitter. The lunch sandwiches are also good, but a bit over priced in my opinion.
But, still a great place to stop in the morning on the way to work.
Giordano's Italian Deli's name is confusing. Although they do have very good Italian subs and dishes, many specials are Hungarian dishes. The Hungarian Goulash is very good as well as the lasagna.
The only issue I have is that they are not consistant. For a while, they would have certain items for daily specials on specific days of the week, then it would vary from one week to the next, right now I'm not sure of the program.
Farrara's has some of the best desserts and pastries in the area. They also have very good sandwiches and meal choices. If you are looking for some old fashioned Italian pastries, as well as new fashioned, Farrara's is the place to go.
