My Faborite Cafe
this place stays open pretty late. they are very chinese and have a wide variety of chinese snack items (most found in china and hong kong). the service is good and the food is very tasty. good place to hang out in the evenings.
Chinatown Ice Cream Factory
you would never know that this place served such delicious homemade ice cream! make a trip to chinatown just for the ice cream! almond cookie was probably the best!
Sirloin Stockade
the food is pretty good, but the price is so cheap. for a buffet, this place is well worth it. desserts are a few, lots of seating, nice size salad bar, meat counter is fresh. what else could you ask for?
Layaly Mediterranean Restaurant
an unexpected surprise in the outer richmond. i want to see this place stick around for awhile so everyone should come and experience the good food they serve! they have a small menu, but it's delicious! get the rice and not the fries! chicken tekka is awesome! borek, humus, falafel, etc. all yummy in my tummy!
Park Life
this place has all sorts of stuff. t-shirts, books, dvds, magazines and oh yeah, it's an art gallery! nice little retreat for the inner richmond and a cool place to check out. get some coffee or hot chocolate nearby and wander around inside the store!
Grain D'or
this bakery has a small selection of baked goods, but what they do have is good to eat. there are some tables inside and is usually quiet and not busy. stop in for some bread if you are have some time to spare!
Sunshine Center Coin Laundry
this is a safe place to do your laundry. clean and well-kept. the owners often will remove clothing in dryers if there are many people waiting for them. plus it's near cafes and places to eat, so you can eat and do laundry at the same time!
L & L Hawaiian Barbecue
it's okay hawaiian food. similar to the ones in hawaii, but obviously not the same. there's another hawaiian place right across the street that i think is better (the prices are low and the plates are big!!)
Little Henry Italian Rstrnt
if you want italian food, stop in and eat some food. nothing too special or fancy about the menu, but the food is satisfactory especially on cold evenings and the service is great. staff are usually fun and friendly (depends on what day you go).
Simple Pleasures Cafe
a fun pace to hang out in the evenings. be conscious of the afternoons because the local high school is nearby and may get crowded during lunch. usually have postings for evening events. coffee is good too!
