This is not a Hilton, Double Tree, or Sheraton. It's got nice beach views and access, and the rooms are funtional, basically clean, and reasonably priced. The whole facility is in the process of being redone so with time it may be flashier, but no doubt it'll be more expensive.
The colorful dining room, for all its style, dims in comparison to the food and drink at this fine establishment. The duck appetizer practically sings and if you've never had a tangarine margarita, then you just haven't lived. Worried about your budget?--come for lunch.

Napa boasts a wonderful, up-market atmosphere with cool, chef-y food offerings, and yummy flights of wine. This is not, however, the place to go if you're not expensing it or if you want casual fare or a lively atmosphere.
If you need cookies then Diddy Riese is where you need to go. Sure there are only about 10 kinds, but who needs exotic cookies when they make the best chocolate ship walnut cookies in the business? And at ultra cheap prices you can spring for an entire party's worth of cookies without breaking the budget.
Mongol's is a long-standing campus escape for those wanting a quick, tastey, significant, and moderately priced meal. Things have changed over they still offer chicken, pork, beff, an lamb, but now the meat bins have lids on them (thank you Health Dept.); things are pricier (now a bowl and a drink or a bowl, soup, and seasame buns is about $9.00); and most annoyingly, they won't let you serve your own noodles--maybe there's a noodle rationing program we don't know about. For all the changes, it still tastes yummy.
Dragonmarsh is a wonderful place to find fantasy, Ren Faire-ish goodies of all description. Jewelry, accessories, incense, castle-arropriate decor are all around you here.
