Hobby Lobby
This store has everything you need for at-home creations. I was looking for some colored nylon thread I could use to weave hammocks, and they had a great selection! Outside of this one store I've only found that thread in two colors at Wal-Mart. I'd come back here for any craft needs.
Jittery Joe's
This Jittery Joe's location seemed a bit cramped. The furniture and decorations were mismatched, but in a way that was more odd and distracting than hip and eclectic. Much of the cafe didn't look like it had been thoroughly cleaned recently either. The coffee was okay, but not the best. The barista was really friendly, though he didn't seem to be knowledgeable enough in coffee.
Jittery Joe's
This Jittery Joe's location seems like an ideal place to come and do some studying or work. The seating is almost exclusively wooden tables with small desk lamps, with random books lining the walls and shelves and stacked up here and there. The coffee is good. When I went there was some strange art on the walls that had to deal with screws and bolts and nuts, but I think that changes out regularly.
Atlanta Dance World School
I attended a swing dance class here a few years ago. The instructors were some of the best swing dancers in Atlanta, and they were very patient with us beginners! We had a blast learning the basics of Lindy Hop. I wish I had the time to take classes regularly at a quality place like this.
Startime Entertainment
This place is like a Dave & Busters, with a game room, bar, meeting rooms, etc. I have played around on the video games and have also attended a function in one of the private dining rooms. They have great facilities and I think that this is a good place to choose for a large-group event or just to hang out and have fun with friends.
Winshape Foster Care
Winshape Homes have the best environment for at-risk foster kids to grow up in. I interned at a home on Berry's campus for a semester, and I still have a relationship with the family and kids. The homes are not like other group homes or foster families. The parents are experienced, fun, and firm when need be. Their own kids live with the foster kids, most of whom are placed long-term. This is a great place to do an internship or just to visit!
Cobb Galleria Ctr
I attended a conference here last year and was satisfied with the facilities. The large exhibition room accommodated all the booths, and the meeting rooms off to the sides worked well for our sessions. There is plenty of parking available. The center is conveniently located right off the interstate as well, with lots of nearby hotels.
Classic Bowling Ctr
To me there's nothing special and nothing wrong about this bowling alley. I've taken friends and kids to this center many times and have always enjoyed my experiences. Everything is clean and well-maintained.
Floyd Bowling & Amusement Center
I bowled here the whole time I was in college. The facilities are always clean and most of the lanes work properly most of the time (can't say that for other bowling alleys). The lanes even have the cool "instant replay" camera option you can't find everywhere. The parking lot is a little hard to maneuver in when it gets crowded. And watch out for that left door as you walk in - it's always locked!
IHOP Restaurant
A group from my church goes to this IHOP every Sunday night. The wait staff knows this and already has a table ready when we get there. I enjoy trying something different off the menu every time, and it's always tasty! The pancakes are really filling though, so I can only handle one or two if I'm eating other things as well.
