Tesoro El
This new Mexican restaurant is just outside the downtown area of Decatur. It looks like it used to be a house before it was a restaurant. The hostess greets you on the front porch and you can sit on the patio or inside. I grabbed a beer at the bar and chatted with the bartender while waiting for a table. The empanada appetizer that I ordered wasn't too thrilling, but the main course was good. I would eat here again.
Heaven's Attic - Parable Christian Store
Heaven's Attic is probably the largest Christian bookstore in Rome, and it's on the quality level of the larger chains. I've gone here many times for books, Bibles, and music. They carry most everything and can special order anything you don't find. It really is convenient for Berry students right down the street.
Ballenger's
From the outside, this really does look like a shack, but it's a great restaurant. It's got a very comfortable feel to it and the food is surprisingly of higher quality than you would expect. I dined here with a date before a formal dance at my school. We enjoyed our meal and would go back again.
B & B Cycle Supply
When nobody else in Rome would work on my scooter, I found B & B. The service was friendly and they had no problem taking a look at my scooter. They had it back to me in a couple days in great working order. I would definitely go back here for service.
Checkers
Who doesn't like a 99 cent Checker Burger, which tastes as good as a Whopper? Checkers is frequently my choice for a quick bite to eat at a cheap price. I love the convenience, the value, and the taste! The fries are seasoned perfectly too.
Counter Culture Coffee
At Counter Culture's Atlanta training lab, industry experts walk you through coffee education in a very hands-on environment. Attend their free coffee cupping session Fridays at 10 a.m., or sign up for one of the in-depth espresso labs. Best of all, the education is free! The coffee they roast is incredible, and I really love the way the company does business and prides itself on quality and transparency.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store
I love the Cracker Barrel! It's the whole experience that does it for me - from sitting on rocking chairs playing on an oversizes checker board on the patio, to browsing through the random country knick knacks in the store, to sitting down at a table by the fireplace and eating up some tasty southern-style breakfast. Whenever I have friends from out of town I like to bring them here for a meal!
Dillard House Business Office
My family has vacationed in north Georgia for years and we always hit up the Dillard House restaurant when we're nearby. You get served some fine southern cooking family-style. The kind of atmosphere and food is kind of like Cracker Barrel, complete with the little country store where you can shop for random things. We've always had a positive experience with the quality of food and service.
Bus Max Rent A Bus
I've rented a couple 15 passenger vans here for long road trips for groups. I've always had a good experience with the customer service agents, and the cars have always been clean and performed well. Because of the impossibility of cleaning up the inside of a van after a week full of teenagers, I just turned in the van dirty and went ahead and paid the extra fee for cleaning.
Half Price Banners Co Inc
I used halfpricebanners.com service to have banners made for my coffee shop. The price was really almost half of what other businesses were quoting. The banners were delivered promptly and they were of excellent quality! We used our own logo and everything. I definitely will get banners made by them again!
