The Reuben
The Reuben has just opened in Des Moines serving sandwiches, soups and salads and, of course, the typical coffee shop fare. I had soup and sandwich which were both delicious. The soup was reasonably priced, but the sandwich was a little on the expensive side. The bread was awesome. I think they are still getting settled in and working things out. I'll try back again soon to check out the coffee and dessets.
Des Moines City Public Works
Not your run of the mill city government workers. These guys are friendly, fun and do a great job keeping everything working in our city. They even volunteer at the food bank! Way to go, guys!
Shoreline Center Conference
Easily excessible from the freeway, this conference center is perfect for smaller business groups. They have an auditorium with stage suitable for dining, and several breakout rooms. Ample parking. Friendly atmosphere--great for networking.
Seattle Symphony
The Seattle Symphony is a high quality orchestra located in the heart of downtown Seattle. Benaroya Hall is a spectacular music hall with great acoustics, beautiful wood panelling and Chihuly glass chandeliers. They have wonderful music educations programs for youth. I love the quarterly rehearsals that are open to season ticket holders.
Kalhana
The portions are generous and the prices are good at Kaihana. I love the tempura teriyaki combos, while my Japanese husband goes for the chirashizushi and saba. The service is terrible, and the tea is not Japanese, but the food makes up for it.
Koharu Japanese Restaurant
One of the few Japanese-owned Japanese restauraunts in town. The sushi bar is tucked away in the back. A wonderful atmosphere for visiting--my husband loves to banter in Japanese with the sushiya. Table seating and tatami rooms are available. The food is spectacular, but a little pricey.
Burien Nissan, Inc.
My car was in an accident and needed some repair from the dealership. The service people are friendly and got my car in right away. The repair have been slow, waiting for parts from Nissan, but the service department provided a loaner at no cost.

While hunting for a used car with my husband, we stopped by Burien Nissan and ended up purchasing a new Versa. The sales person was friendly and helpful. He offerred us such a great price, we couldn't see spending almost as much for a used car. We were able to take our new car home the same day. We were happy with the transaction--just watch out for the warranty salesman!

Angle Lake Locksmith
Angle Lake Locksmith has been in business for so many years they know the business really well. Our church has been rekeyed twice through them. They also managed to copy my house key when it was really worn.
