Princeton Review offers courses for almost any standardized test you can imagine. For me, I specifically took the MCAT course and although I have yet to take the MCAT. The courses were extremely helpful. If you are looking to brush up on your materials, Princeton Review provides really helpful reviews in class. Most of the teachers are really helpful and have to have scored very well on the subject that they teach. Not only do they give you a great way to study for your tests, but they offer opportunities to work for them as a proctor or tutor. I would definitely recommend Princeton Review over Kaplan.
Hokkaido sounds like a good idea. The place is a buffet with Asian themed food. Don't be fooled! The food here is not worth the price. If you so happen to go here, then make sure you save the lobster ticket and give it back for a $1 discount off your bill because it is the worst tasting lobster you will ever have. I had to fill myself up with the korean noodles called "jap chae" because it was the best tasting thing. The sushi is alright and the BBQ meats are okay. This place is definitely not worth the price. Go to a regular restaurant instead.
This Chinese restaurant is nothing compared to many other ones. The food here tastes very Americanized and lacking in flavor. I would not recommend coming here. It is good for large parties and you can book it easily but the prices are not worth the food. I would say try and find another Chinese restaurant nearby.
This place serves a good selection of BBQ items. It is rather tasty but there are places that are better. The food is not the cheapest, but if you go in a large group, you can share more of the combos. The line moves quickly and there are usually seats. It is conveniently located in the Bridgepointe mall.
Twiggs offers the best selections of cakes. If high price cakes are not for you, then don't come here. But the cakes here are well worth the price. Our office often gets cakes from here for birthdays and they are always a hit. The cake is almost moist and soft and not too rich. I would recommend Twiggs for a special occassion. It is definitely worth a try.
This place offers cheap Chinese food like the below review has stated. It is usually really crowded so I would come on a weekday or before eating times. The peking spareribs here are amazing! I would highly recommend trying them. As for the place itself, it is not very clean nor very updated.
With the abundance of Chinese food in San Francisco, I would not recommend this place. It is dirty and not upkept and the service is slow. The food is subpar and the prices are not that great. I would definitely go to the restaurant next door for Chinese food.
Mira Mesa is lacking in good Asian restaurants. This place is one of the few places that offer porridge and wonton noodle soup in all of San Diego. When you are craving either of those, it will definitely satisdy your craving. They have a wide selection of noodle soups, rice dishes, and noodle dishes. It is a mix of Chinese and Vietnamese food. The food comes out relatively fast. The roast duck is not that great, so I'd suggest getting it somewhere else. I would recommend trying the Vietnamese dish that has ground pork wrapped in rice noodle called "banh cuon."
PROS: Has rare dishes that you can't find elsewhere, Reasonable prices, good selection
CONS: some dishes are hit or miss, roast duck
This place has just about everything you would need. Ichiban offers really cheap products for things you would need around the house or office. They always have cheap Japanese snacks like seaweed crackers for a dollar and delicious Japanese candies. A lot of goods are a dollar or less and you can find cute office/school supplies like mechanical pencils or plastic tupperware.
Taiwan restaurant is not the biggest, nor the cleanest of restaurants, but they do often reasonable prices for decent food. I would recommend the "chow neen go" (a rice noodle patty dish) and the chinese donut "yao jock gwai" with the soymilk. The food will have a lot of taste and can sometimes be a little on the greasy side. If you are looking for Taiwanese food and want to satisfy your hunger, definitely swing by here and try it. It won't hurt your wallet!
