All of the kids in my family have been patients of Dr. Johnson. While a bit eccentric-looking, he's a very sweet and caring doctor. He's especially gentle with little kids. Dr. Johnson listens and communicates well, and seems to have a big place in his heart for what he does- he even has a whole bulletin board filled with pictures of his patients that families have brought in!
I saw Dr. Branson when Dr. Aslan was out of town, and the experience was equally good (considering the not-so-fun fact of being a woman and needing annual check-ups). She did speak a little fast and seemed to whiz through my appointment, but she was careful and talkative, which helped to ease me during the visit. Overall would recommend.
My visit with Dr. Aslan was my first ever to a gyncologist. She made the visit as comfortable as it could be, was friendly, and explained everything that she was doing. I appreciated the effort!
My mom's best friend was married here in the spring. It was a beautiful place for the wedding, and all of the guests and wedding party members loved staying at the Seascape Resort. The pictures proved to be amazing. The bride and groom had nothing but great things to say about Seascape.
Marianne's is favorite of many locals and families who frequent the Santa Cruz area. They've got what must be a hundred different flavors (and all the ones I've had have always been delicious)! Parking can be problematic, especially on a weekend. Be ready for long lines, but worth the wait!
Nino J Cefalu and Co, a family business of accounting, is not only a well-known but also a very well trusted accounting business in Sunnyvale. Many locals use Nino and his son Alan as their personal accountants for tax season. They do good work and are good people.
Il Postale is a great for choice for a romantic date- its classy, authentic, and of course, romantic! The restaurant can seem a bit crowded though (it's rather small), but the good service and excellent authentic Italian food make up for that small inconvenience.
This is, hands down, the best pie I've ever had. The french apple pie is to die for. Be sure to ask for ice cream on the side, and if you're feeling adventurous, go for the cinnamon ice cream. This is a popular Julian pitstop, so be warned that it can get crowded.
Went for an hour-long ride with my boyfriend in the fall. We were the only two people signed up for that particular afternoon ride, which was really nice. The couple who run the stable are very personable and know a lot about the area. The horses were sweet, gentle, and in good riding condition. And the trails were beautiful! Would recommend!
Came here during the Apple Days festival in October. Julian was really busy, and this restaurant was no exception. It took them over an hour to get us our food, but when it finally arrived, it was excellent. They have giant flavored margaritas there- didn't end up getting one myself but others who did seemed to enjoy them!
