This is a great Greek/Mediterrean restaurant with a wide variety of authentic dishes to choose from. While there are many tempting items on the menu, I can never pass up the gyros plate. It's delicious, filling, and a good price. The place itself is nice- a good balance between casual and formal- and the staff is good. Looking for a slightly nicer restaurant? Check out Apollonia (on Genessee across from the UTC shopping center), a restaurant owned by the same company as Athena's. They have the same food for the same price, but the atmosphere at Apollonia is slightly more formal and sophisticated.
Dr. Rooker is one of a small portion of doctors who truly loves her job and does it well 100% of the time. I've been impressed with her caring demeanor, her sharp knowledge, and her willingness to take the time to explain things to her patients. She's certainly one of the best.
Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi Too has a cool feel to it- think of being in a mobster's giant dining and yet being totally enthralled (and not frightened) by it. There's a lot to take in in terms of decorations, but the food is what really gets you. The pastas and meat entrees are all very good- something for everyone here!- and the warm spinach and pasta salad is amazing!! Would definitely recommend!
Went here for a New Year's celebration. Very lively place! Decently priced drinks and loads of fun, this place is sure to impress. During the rest of the year, Scruffy Murphy's remains fairly lively, with a crowd of regulars mainly in the 30s-50s age range.
Went here with friends for a night out and had a great time. Enjoyed great music and decently-priced drinks. The place has a fun and jovial ambiance- a must for those who enjoy Irish pubs!
After suffering a debilitating back injury and waiting a month to see Dr. Aube (through Kaiser), I was disappointed in the visit. She was not very caring and seemed to be satisfied with an undetermined explanation for my pain. She sent me on to get an MRI and physical therapy, but didn't come up with a diagnosis and didn't seem to care to do so. I felt like one of many patients on a conveyer belt, receiving less-than-adequate care and being forced to just move on without proper medical guidance and care.
Dr. Norling is a great choice for a dentist in the Sunnyvale/Los Altos/Mountain View area. With two kids in their late teens/early twenties, he has a fatherly or brotherly demeanor, and I've always felt comfortable in examinations. His work has been consistently good as well.
Tried to go here on New Year's since Murphy St is a lively place for celebrations... Well my experience here was not only unsatisfactory, but terrifying. Went into the women's bathroom and found the lights off; when I flicked them on, a woman's scratchy voice said "turn off the lights!" Whatever was going on in there, I didn't want to know! Ran out of that place faster than you could imagine. Stay away from Paul and Harvey's- its a scary crowd that frequents this joint.
This little bar and lounge is a hidden jewel: its located in a dingy area parallel to the 5 freeway, awfully close to the San Diego airport. However, this place is very impressive on the inside. Had some great drinks here- would especially recommend the mojito.
Elias has a friendly feel- the same people work there most of the time and are amiable to each other and their customers. However, services here are on the expensive end. Have seen a few different stylists there, and each has been good but not worth going back to unless the price is discounted.
