We went to E&O for dinner one night. It was pretty crowded and the service was slow. The food was actually pretty good but the portions were small and the meal was not cheap. Not anything too special here.
Mister Tiki's is a really fun place to go eat. The inside is decorated in a luau style, with a giant tiki on the wall behind the bar. The drink specials are pretty good but my favorite is just sake with a nice large saporo. I had the $25 all you can eat sushi and dinner meal and it was pretty good. We got there late though, and they ran out of some stuff but it was still really satisfying.
I was a little disappointed with my two experiences at Fumari and felt that the place was overrated. It's a very small place on the corner of G street. The line can be really long to get in and I don't think it's worth the wait. The hookah is quite good (there are plenty of flavors to chose from), but it's on the pricier side, and like I said, the wait can be long. I would much rather go to someplace less crowded and quieter. The quality of the hookah is not enough to get me to go back.
A nice historical hotel that's recently been renovated and updated. It definitely has an old school charm and is beautifully done inside. The rooms are a bit small and it can be a little loud at night because it is right in downtown across from Horton Plaza. Overall a very nice hotel though.
Very friendly dry cleaners. Have helped me get out the toughest stains on some of my favorite clothes. I trust them completely! Maybe a little higher priced than some other cleaners in the area but they do a great job and have great service! I can usually pick up my stuff within 2 days.
Golden Rice Bowl serves up some pretty good, albeit slightly greasy, Chinese food for a decent price. It's fast and I can grab my order and take it home. Their lunch specials are also usually a pretty good deal. Dine-in is never very crowded as most people go here for take-out.
Crossgate is a great swimming club right in the neighborhood. The pool is a pretty decent size and there is also a kiddie pool. There is a large lawn in the back, along with a basketball/volleyball court and a covered seating area with benches. They have built in barbecues on site as well.
It's a great place to hold private parties or just parties in general. The fee is reasonable but it is hard to become a member. There is a long wait list.
When you walk into Blue Rock Shoot you feel like you're walking into a cabin in the woods. The inside has a rustic feel and is made of wood/logs. They have good coffee and really great sandwiches. The pizza isn't half bad either. My friends and I always end up here because it's a nice place to hang out and grab a bite to eat. The downstairs is quite too and nice for studying.
Big Rock Creek Camp is a great camp set in the San Gabriel Mountains. We held a summer camp there last year and are going back for another! They have a very large swimming pool, lawns, a large fire pit, an awesome ropes course, and much more! The food was excellent too! I swear I had 3 servings at every meal!
The cabins were old but clean and tidy. There were many cabins spread out and some were bigger than others. No problems at all.
The staff at BRCC is kind to a fault and willing to help with any problems or concerns you may have. Very patient and accommodating!
My cousin's wedding rehearsal dinner was held here, and needless to say, everyone left feeling extremely pleased and with a full stomach. The food was fresh and phenomenal, and the staff was extremely patient and accommodating to our large party. I would love to eat here again!
