No. 1 Tex-Mexican Express
For as little as a dollar or two, you can great a delicious chicken quesadilla. The burritos rival any fancy Mexican place downtown. The difference here is that you can buy it from this place for only a few dollars. I have never eaten at the actual restaurant, only delivery. The delivery is very fast. Highly recommended!
Hudson View Restaurant
Hudson View is a great place to get a simple meal. I have eaten there for breakfast and even though it was crowded, my coffee cup was always filled and my food came out fast, hot, and tasty. I have ordered for delivery before and the food came fast. The prices are also very reasonable
Next Door Cafe
This is a great little NYC downtown style eatery located conveniently uptown. They have great American dishes such as burgers and pasta as well as sushi and rolls. The space is small, but has a great ambiance and the staff are super friendly. They are great for ordering out too with fast delivery. The only downside is that this place is a little pricey.
Pizza Nova 177 St
This place makes pretty good pizza. It is simple with no flairs, but has good flavor and they are really generous with the toppings. We ordered for delivery and it came quickly. The prices were standard for your small local pizza place
That's Amore Pizzeria
I have ordered from this place several times. They have a "Thats Amore" special with American cheese that is really quite interesting but the rest of their pizza is really bland. It is hard to order for delivery as the people who answer the phone seem to speak limited English and are in a very loud environment.
El Centro
I have been here several times. They have great drinks and even better food. The chilaquiles are to die for! It is a creamy chicken yet crunchy goodness. The staff are very friendly. The only downside is that the space is really small.
Cavanaugh's Cafe & Bakery
This place is great. They have a lot of home made, fresh baked goods such as donuts and cookies. The prices are pretty cheap. They also have good coffee. There are a few tables outside to sit on so you can enjoy your breakfast and enjoy the weather.
Kellys Tavern
This is a good sports bar. They have good prices for food and drink. They have a ton of tvs showing all the good games. There are enough people here for it to feel fun, but not so many that you feel crowded.
Ruby Foo's
From everything I have heard, I thought this was going to be a dining experience of a life time. First, we had to wait for a table which is unusual in NYC. Second it was really expensive. The food was ok, but not as good as it should have been for the price.
New York Road Runners Club
For a few dollars a year it is worth it to belong to NYC Road Runners. They keep you informed about what is going on in a timely fashion through email. There are also discounts available for local businesses to get the running gear that you need. You can also use their facility to drop off your bag while you go on a run in Central Park and know that your things are safe. This place is well worth the money.
