The Avenue Grill offers lots of wonderful comfort food as well as some spectacular new dishes. When I go I am always drawn to the meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes. There is something about meatloaf...
There is counter service. This place is a converted gas station and there is still that quality - but very upscale and comfortable.
The decor is unique, the food is great and the service is good. All in all a very good choice.
New York Bagel sells a bagel that is as close to a real NY bagel as you can get in this part of the world. In true New York tradition they even boil them first. Now that is the way to make a bagel.
They automatically will toast them for you, but real NY bagels are as good untoasted as they are toasted.
My favorite is the everything but the plain comes in a close second. When they are great bagels, you can have plain and have it great.
Omni Fitness sells almost all of the super high quality machines you see in health clubs. They help you choose the right one for you and then deliver it and set it up. Just be forewarned as their equipment is very expensive.
This hotel is right by the airport (SFO) so I booked here for the night before my early morning flight. What a surprise. I would have liked to stay longer.
The rooms are all suites/kitchenettes. The bed is so super comfy and the bedding is to die for. I slept like there was no tomorrow.
They have warm cookies in the evening and also have a fully equipped business center. This is a really good place to stay.
This little independent hotel is quite nice. The rooms are large and the bed and bedding are amazing. I slept better there than I have slept in years. And I was there during a stressful time so it was not being on vacation.
They have a free breakfast included which is very nice as well. All in all this is a great place to stay.
The Lifestyle Lift procedure is probably good for people who fit their cookie-cutter mold of a patient. If there is they slightest thing wrong with you (my using Advair for example) you are disqualified from the surgery.
Being disqualified is understandable if they want to keep their clean record. But having my friend and I come back 3 times to finally keep us waiting for over an hour (when 4 patients who came in after us were taken) only to tell us that we were being disqualified was just plain rude. If they wanted to tell us that, tell us that right away. It only took 10 seconds. Don't make us wait over an hour.
If you want a Lifestyle Lift done, try another facility.
This is basically a boarding and veterinary facility for animals in transit (it is at JFK airport). In Cairn Terrier Rescue we have used it for quarantine boarding for rescued dogs. Although the facilities are not the nicest, and the boarding areas are quite dark and dingy, they are clean and the staff is very nice. Emergency care can and will be provided if necessary by a veterinarian on call 24/7. I do not think I would board a house pet here except in an emergency, but for rescue boarding coming from a shelter and going into a home (especially for blind dogs which we seem to have only boarded here - hmmm) it certainly is a find place.
Oyster Bay roofing is definitely not the least expensive roofer around. But most of the cheaper ones do not stand behind their work like Oyster Bay does. I would much rather sleep at night knowing I was covered for any problems than have the extra money I would probably squander anyway <sigh>.
Really their quality is as good as it gets so their guarantee is based on their confidence in themselves which I share.
I have been a member of NYPIRG Fuel Buyer's Group for probably a decade or more. Over that time I am sure I have saved way over $1000. Anyone can join this for the currently $25/yearly membership fee. Then they hook you up with an oil or gas supplier that they have subcontracted to sell fuel and services to you.
When I had oil heat I got my heating oil and had the same 24/7/365 service as did my neighbors who were not members of NYPIRG. And I got it from a company that many of my non-NYPIRG neighbors used.
NYPIRG is certainly the way to go.
I have been using General Utilities since I converted from oil heat to gas heat. I have a yearly service contract with them. When I have a problem their service is prompt and their technicians know what to do to get my heating plant back on line. Their prices are good also.
