East Coast Surf Shop
ECB has a great selection of decks, trucks, whatever skateboard gear you need. The staff is very knowledgeable and usually very helpful and friendly - you always get that one jerk every now and then. They also have a good selection of clothes for the guys and girls and skating DVDs and other cool stuff.
And most important - gift certificates!
Fairfax Surf Shop
This my sons' favorite skate shop. They are small and more friendly than the bigger chains. The staff is very knowledgeable and will help you pick out the parts for your skateboard. They will either assemble it for you or help you do it yourself.
They also have snowboarding gear and of course surf gear as well.
The store is a little hard to find, but worth the extra drive around the block to find it.
Sharp Shooters Small Arms Range
Gilbert's Range has been around a long time. One of the few indoor ranges in the area. The range is primarily for handguns and is frequented by many military and police personnel. The store area is well supplied with knowledgeable staff and offers try it before you buy and gun rentals along with gunsmith services. Prices are very reasonable.
Highly recommended.
Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy
You have to try the handmade cherry limeades - they are the best! The burgers are really good too - fries are average.
Braum's ice cream is the best I've ever had. You can also buy bread, milk and other dairy items.
So go have dinner, dessert and finish your shopping!
Kincannon Funeral Home
Planning a loved one's funeral is never a pleasant task, however the staff at Kincannon's did their absolute best to assist us and accommodate us every step of the way. All we had to do was tell them what we wanted and they made it happen - easels and tables to display photos & mementos, video presentation, our own recorded music, a microphone for impromptu tributes. Kincannon also has an on line feature for leaving messages and tributes which is wonderful now that people are so spread out.
I would highly recommend their services.
M B Gifts & Beyond
This is a real find, but you wouldn't know it from the outside or from the name. MB Gifts & Beyond looks more like a cheap dollar store from the outside of the strip mall store. Wrong!! This place is awesome. They have all kinds of natural, organic body lotions, soaps, cosmetics, etc. by well known names such as Burts Bees, Tom's of Maine, Royal Jelly, and many others. It is truly a great selection. They also have some cool gift items such as bracelets made in Peru, handmade keychains and many others.
This place is definitely a find - check it out!
Carl Keaton & Frazer PLLC: Frazer Julie A
We used Carl Keaton as our attorney when we purchased a local acreage for a vacation home. What started as a simple transaction got more complicated because of estate issues and was not completely finalized for almost a year. Throughout the process Mr. Keaton provided excellent service & advice. Because we were out-of-state, we also greatly appreciate his availability and flexibility of scheduling. We will certainly use Mr. Keaton for any future legal transaction in West Virginia and we highly recommend him to others.
Reston Kabob
The food here is always delicious. I could eat just the hot bread and hummus dip for dinner! They get really busy at lunch so get there early or plan on taking your food out since there is limited seating.
Dillon's Country Treasures
Dillon's has some wonderful items for the home. Crockery, curtains, cute signs, quilts, baskets and a whole room of candles. During the holidays they have a fantastic selection of Christmas ornaments and decorations. The staff are very friendly and helpful and will order items for you. The prices are very reasonable - usually less than you will find in specialty catalogs for the same items.
Dan's Antiques
Dan's Antiques is in a big red barn off Rte. 50. Inside you will find a little bit of everything - jewelry, dolls, toys, furniture, signs, collectibles, you name it. I love taking my kids there and showing them "old-time" items that my grandparents had. It's like a fun history lesson. Like most antique dealers, items seem over-priced but they are negotiable on most things.
