The family that runs this store is the nicest. They have built this store from a small little store front years ago and expanded to the adjacent store. They have a great variety of party supplies and a huge selection of Mylar balloons. If you need to have balloons made up which include latex, I recommend you ask for the High Float. For just a little more, they treat the balloons with a gel so they will last several days instead of just one. Last time, the latex balloons in my bouquet lasted closer to five days.
OK, they're a diner, a good diner. But, what I have always known them for is their desserts. On our most recent trip, a holiday weekend by the way, they had at least 20 different choices of cakes and pies in the display cases with each one looking better than the last. It was so hard to choose, but we ended up with the most beautiful chocolate cream cake that wasn't as ordinary as is sounds, plus a few extra treats for home. As usual, the cake was out of this world. I don't remember how much the cake was, but we spent less than $30 for the cake, about six cannolis and a few cookies for the kids.
The staff has been very helpful and knowledgeable every time we walk in the door. While they aren't the biggest store around, they either have or can get whatever we need. Their prices are comparable, so why drive all over creation?
You know you will need fresh corn and tomatoes for the weekend at the shore. Leave some room in the cooler when you pack the car and stop by Red Top on the way to the shore. Yes, there's a lot more than veggies. I love to pick up some honey or a special apple bread. And, on the way home from the shore, just one more stop to stock up on all the fresh veggies and fruit for the week. If you don't know how to pick out the best cantaloupe, just ask.
Every kid should have this much fun every summer. My children have been going to this camp for five summers. It may cost a little more than other camps, but it is well worth it. Every year the facilities are upgraded, so I always know my money has been well spent. And the staff if absolutely fantastic.
The campers get to pick what they want to do for the week. New this year is a Zip line. Laser tag has been a big hit for a couple summers now. How about the water trampoline on the lake, creative arts, performing arts, sports-maybe some archery or just fishing? There are so many options. And, just when you think it can't get any more fun, a color war breaks out. The blue team versus the red team.
Don't worry about packing a lunch, it's catered. Special diet, they have that covered, too.
They have an excellent bus system that picks up and drops campers at designated stops. Ours is about 5 minutes from home.
Every winter my children get a newsletter from camp so they will know what's new for the upcoming summer. We love to see what upgrades the camp will be getting and the new electives that will be available.
Check out the web site. You will see why I think it's the best.
The only drawback...it's for the kids only. But, I want to go!
Not only are the pretzels great when you just want a few, but they're even better for a fund raiser. These were such a big seller for a recent fund raiser, that we needed more. The price is right (although a little higher more recently) and there always seems to be a fresh batch just coming out of the oven. They also make nice trays for parties with a nice variety of pretzel sticks and mustard.
Walk in and you may have a hard time choosing from all of the great pastas, raviolis, sauces, and cheeses. So, don't limit yourself, try a little of everything. It's all so fresh and fantastic that you will find yourself coming back for more. There is off-street parking in front of the store. It's all so convenient and yummy.
I found this shop a few years back and haven't gone anywhere else since. My hair is always done the way I want it, not the way they feel like doing it, and it's not over-priced. The atmosphere is very casual and not uptight. There's plenty of parking close by and other businesses worth visiting while you're in the area.
This rink is in excellent shape. The place is notoriously clean and you won't freeze your butt off in the stands. There is a nice snack bar where you can watch the ecitement on the ice while you sip your coffee.
Dave and his crew took great care of my roof and my property. The roof needed a complete tear-off with some repair work before the new roof could go on. The work was done quickly and when they left, all of the mess went with them. All they left behind was a roof in perfect condition. The final price was in line with my other estimates before they knew about the repair work underneath.
