Spirit Feathers is a good place to touch base with your inner self. Classes are always available on meditation, Reiki, Emotional Freedom Techniques, communicating with loved ones who have crossed over, etc.
Prices are very reasonable and a lot of classes are drop-in.
They also carry items like drums.
Stop in and wander around, you won't be sorry.
This is a huge facility with state-of-the-art kennels. Cats are kept separately from dogs in a wonderful playroom filled with climbing apparatus and big windows. Dogs can be in the bunkhouse, private room or patio room with private run.
There are a couple huge outdoor areas to let dogs play and run. The areas are safely fenced. There is even a pond for water dogs.
A huge, fully-matted indoor building is used for training and inclement weather exercise. Definitely worth the drive. Reservations are suggested, especially over holidays.
We took this trip through AAA. It is a very good deal. You arrive at Williams, AZ and after dinner, spend the night at the hotel. Next morning, after breakfast (all meals included in this package), you board the train for the Grand Canyon. It is a lovely and relaxing trip lasting 2 hours and 15 minutes. There are several classes of accommodations on the train. Refreshments are served.
At the canyon, you board a tour bus for a short trip along the South Rim. Tour guides are very knowledgeable. Then, lunch and the train ride back. Just before arriving in Williams, the train is held up by old west robbers on horseback. They board the train and you can get some great photos. A fantastic trip all around!
The Magness Memorial Tree Farm is a wonderful outdoor adventure. It has walking trails, including an easy, paved one-half mile walk, and a two-mile hike through the forest.
You can take a free guided tour with Bill Wood (property manager) every Sunday at 2 p.m.
Dogs are allowed as long as they stay leashed at all times. Don't forget the bags, in case your pet relieves themselves on the trail.
This coffee shop is cozy, friendly, well-located, and delicious! It's this year's winner of the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce "Small Business of the Year" award.
The donuts and pastry treats are fresh and tasty. They offer a punch card to get a free coffee drink. Outside are a few tables where you can sit with your dog. One side is in the shade. They have a good-sized pail of water for your thirsty pet.
The atmosphere is very nice. The baristas are knowledgeable and friendly. It's my favorite place to go for coffee in Sherwood.
Shannon Painter is the most wonderful hairdresser. She has worked at Classic Hair Fashions since February of 2006. With over 29 years of experience, she is awesome. Formerly, she owned her own shop in Sherwood.
Shannon can do anyone's hair perfectly: children, teens, adults and the elderly. Classic Hair Fashions is conveniently located on Hwy. 99. It is a very clean shop and has several excellent hairdressers, as well as, a manicurist.
This vet clinic is conveniently located near I-5. They are always open for emergencies. Not only are they staffed with their regular vets, but also have local vets moonlighting here.
It's good to know you always have an emergency room available for your beloved pets.
Doctor Mehta is a lovely, friendly doctor. She tries to do the least invasive method for helping with skin problems, only resorting to surgery (melanomas) as a last resort.
Highly recommend her for any skin issues.
Dr. Rajani is great! He is very knowledgeable in all areas and has a wonderful referral service. My elderly mother has been seeing him since 2004, and his care is second to none.
This is a wonderful facility for post-operative rehab (hip replacements, surgery rehab, etc.), anything where a person needs physical therapy follow up. They take medicare and most insurance plans.
The facility is light and modern, with a sitting room looking outside on squirrels and deer. There is a gas fireplace and library in the same room. Two dining rooms allow for family and friends to eat in private with the patient. A full pharmacy and great one-on-one patient to nurse or Certified Nursing Assistant attention. There are several private rooms, all rooms have phones and TV's.
Permanent residential care, as well as, an Alzheimer's unit are available.
