I am always looking for that special ornament for our tree. I found the place in March. I couldn't believe there was a place with year round Christmas. I even found a baby's first Christmas ornament for my niece who was still on the way!
This was one of my favorite places to stop in Julian. The girl working there was exceptionally friendly. I browsed around and found many items to choose from. In the end I got a old west gift for my son.
Stop by Grandpa's to get a great old time photo taken. They really go out of their way to make sure you get the shot you want. I took my two kids and it came out wonderful!
My favorite pie is the strawberry rhubarb. You can get these pies in select stores throughout San Diego but, coming to Julian is far better. The pies are so fresh and delicious. I drive here for all special occasions needing a pie.
While in the area make sure to stop for some great tasting bread. There are so many varieties to choose from. My favorite is the raisin bread. The homemade jam is good too.
A great place for lunch or dinner. They are famous for the meatloaf sandwich so I had to try it. It was delicious. Everyone at the table wanted to try it too. The waitress was great!
Everyone knows you come to Julian for the pie! Stop by Mom's for a great slice. If the line is out the door be patient. It is worth the wait. You can even watch them make pies through the window!
I was told by my little boy that he had to have the Trevor train because his name is Trevor. I had looked everywhere for it. THis was the only place I could find it. Everyone was super friendly and helpful!
We attended a birthday party here and had so much fun. Each child choose a piece to decorate. The kids had such a fun time being little artists. We will have to make a trip back soon.
I needed a special battery and part for a remote control race car. They had exactly what I was looking for. The guy there knew so much about remote control cars.
