I had a lift kit installed on my pickup truck at a "specialty shop" for this kind of thing and the truck came back lopsided, brakes and front drive shaft disconnected, and a plethora of other issues. Marin Andric, the owner is a member of my gym and has machined many pieces for my cardio equipment in the past, said it would be nothing to fix the mistakes made by the other shop. The long and short of it is he hand machined absolutely everything and welded the drive shafts so perfectly that they were in perfect balance!! My truck sits perfectly even and is not only looking like I had hoped when I started this endeavor, but is far safer now. For example, the grade 8 bolts he fashioned with locks on both ends were genius.
He also has kept my gym equipment up and running for my business for years. His attention to detail is second to none as is his tireless work ethic and speed of delivery. If you go anywhere else for you machining needs you've made a mistake!
I bought a 4" suspension lift and 4-35" tires from this place. They were to install all of it as well as have the truck aligned.
Where to start...
Firstly, when I got over there to pick up my truck, I noticed the rear end was sagging 2 inches lower than the front. The front drive shaft had been removed and placed in the bed of the truck. The front brake lines had been unhooked from the frame and stretched. The sway bars had been bent. The front leaf spring U bolts were left completely loose. The rear sway bars were bent. The tires were under inflated (only 25 lbs) and the valve stems weren't replaced. Hell, they even left off the valve stem caps. On top of all this, my truck was filthy inside and they never had the front end aligned, though I was charged $94 for it. I called and spoke with the manager who refunded the $94 and admitted his employee didn't get the alignment done and further stated that the front springs will soften and drop 2 inches, thus leveling the truck. That's ridiculous. I suppose that was to appease me, but it didn't. I drive my kids in this thing and it was downright unsafe. I had to spend a lot of time and money undoing the butchering of my truck these people did. I've contacted my attorney and am considering a lawsuit because of the incompetence and gross negligence which could have killed me, my family, and whoever happened to be driving near my truck when the brakes and front end failed. Stay far away from this place!
You don't get sucked up to and sold a used car here. I think that's great. I don't need to have sunshine blown up my skirt so to speak, I just want my truck fixed, and fixed right the first time. These guys do it. They're perfectly pleasant people who do good work. Don's a very honest and reasonable guy. I don't buy for a second what some crackhead posted about his electrical issues and Don messing his car up etc etc on here. There's another side to that story, you can count on that.
I've used him for years and so have many of my clients. It's always a great experience and I've never left feeling shortchanged, taken, or ripped off. They do exactly what needs to be done and nothing more. I recommend this place to anyone who's tired of being taken for a ride by an incompetent mechanic.
I have heard the place is rude, but it's far from it. You don't get sucked up to and sold a used car here. I think that's great. I don't need to have sunshine blown up my skirt so to speak, I just want my bike fixed, and fixed right the first time. These guys do it. They're perfectly pleasant people who do good work. They work on my dirtbike as well as my Hayabusa. I'm very pleased and would recommend them to anyone
The place is spotless, very well equipped for serious athletes and everyday people alike. The atmosphere is very friendly and there's no typical gym nonsense here. Andy Bruchey, the owner, trains a wide variety of people. He's a nice guy who genuinely cares about people and really knows what he's doing. I've worked with him for 4 years now and the results, if I may say so, are outstanding. I absolutely love this place. Everyone else seems to as well.
