I'll start by saying: I HEART BARK PARK!!! ;) When I lived in Beaverton, and my business was doing well, I took my little 15lb. Chihuahua mix, Chloe, here to play a couple times a week while I was working, and she loved it! I was a little nervous at first because they don't separate the big from the little dogs, but that ended up being a positive thing: Chloe started acting entirely differently at the dog parks with big dogs, and I think it's because she got such good experience at the Bark Park with Sean and his staff- she loves to play with the big dogs. Also, it was always very clean in there, she never stunk after being there, and she was ALWAYS so excited to see Sean when I dropped her off, and he was excited to see her! I also loved that (at the time at least, I don't know about these days...) they offer hourly daycare, which made it convenient and affordable. When the groomer set up shop here, I started having Chloe's nails trimmed here and it was always drama free. Chloe and I really miss Sean and the Bark Park!! I think he needs to expand and open one up in Milwaukie... hint hint!! :)
(I had to come here to write a review since I've moved from Beaverton to Milwaukie and just had a horrible experience with a grooming/boarding place here in MIlwaukie and it just made me miss Sean and his team so much! I'm honestly thinking it would be worth the 30min drive to take her here for her nail trims from now on just so I know it will be a good experience!)
Not very impressed..... Stopped in a few months ago when I moved into the neighborhood to see what they offered and though it seemed a bit crowded and unorganized, the girls I talked to were really nice and the prices were affordable. I went in a few months later to have my small dogs nails trimmed and boy, it wasn't fun. I've had her nails trimmed several times before, and it's always been fine. I went in around 4:30pm and apparently it was pick up time for all the other dogs there- the space was even more crowded than I remember it being, apparently because they are remodeling and stuff is crammed everywhere- it was a complete mess. There were only 2 people working, and the girl kept yelling to the back room for the other worker to get whatever dog was being picked up. I was asked to hold my own dog to have the service done- which has never happened anywhere else. My dog was a bit nervous in the environment, but not ridiculously squirmy. The girl trimming her nails seemed really nervous and it seemed like she was really frustrated with my dogs nails and kept having to go over each nail 2-3 times. Maybe she was trying to be careful about not cutting the quick, but it just seemed excessive and inexperienced. I've seen people cut her nails before, and it was never such an issue before. In the future, I think I'd rather drive all the way to my former groomer 30 minutes away for a simple nail trim than come back here. I definitely will never have her groomed here or boarded, especially after reading other reviews.
because I'm afraid of losing my "secret"! Kathi is AWESOME! She knows exactly how to cut my thick, wavy hair and make it into an actual style. Her prices are so reasonable, I always give her a big tip, too. I love her and will forever be loyal! I love chatting with her, too- she's just fun!
