San Jose, CA
I went here for lunch during a slow time of day yet despite the lack of customers I still got pretty slow service. I wouldn't say it was bad exactly but for the amount I paid I would expect a little better. The food was good though. Since they had pretty good food the price wasn't too bad. By the look and feel of the place I expected a slightly higher class simple sandwich shop in that it was a sit down restaurant but it exceeded my expectations in that respect.
I love Dr. Rapa. She is so nice and does an amazing job and even though I do not go in on a regular basis she still always remembers me not only by name but what was going on when I talked to her last. Unlike most doctors, the wait is almost nonexistant. I was really nervous about the cracking and stuff when I first went in there but she made me more then comfortable with everything that she did.
The food here is pretty good but though the waiters are very friendly, not very attentive. Basically, as soon as you get your food you don't see them again until you are finished. We had to wait a while after finishing before they took our plates and even longer until they brought the bill. We were also there at a slow time of day. I enjoyed the food and the view was great but don't go here unless you are prepared to spend awhile there. It is also pretty expensive. It came out to over $25 each with tax and tip.
I love this place! Like several of the other reviews said, a lot the the breakfasts are sweet but its mostly just because they add whipped cream to everything so its easy to get it without. They make fabulous swedish pancakes but everything I have ever eaten their has been great and I have been going every week for over two years. Their staff is very friendly. Its sort of a small place but I never feel crowded when I go there and despite the close quarters it never gets very loud. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.
