The space is huge, but well divided. Lots of smaller intimate rooms filled with - depending on which room you are in, antiques, wines, or the amazing raw bar! I love the food, love the hustle and bustle. If you are going to see a show, be sure to make a reservation and give yourself plenty of time, this place gets slammed around popular shows. I recommend having dinner before the theatre and coming back for coffee and dessert after.
This used to be Little Pedro's a really different kind of place. The look and feel is red and black, bordello, speakeasy. The crowd is ecclectic and fashionable, but not snooty. The drinks are good and the live music is really great. A great place to see live music, it's a very intimate space. This is one of the really good remodels of the downtown drinking establishments.
This bar is on the second floor, so yo are greeted by a doorman at street level. There is a dress code, but it's not terribly formal. Just don't come wearing shorts and a sweatshirt. The decor, large dark room, dress code and old fashioned cocktails make for a nice, grown up drinking establishment. The bartenders are all really well trained in the art of crafting classic cocktails, so try something different. This bar has a lot of whiskeys, and offers cigars for smoking in the large smoking area. They do not have food, so plan to dine elsewhere before hitting this relaxing, sophisticated bar with live music & pool tables on weeknights. As with all downtown bar, it's busy on Friday & Saturday nights.
Sonny Black is the man to build your custom dungeon furniture. The functionality, sturdiness and attention to detail are all elements of his aesthetic. Sonny Black furniture is built to last.
Here is one honest mechanic. We have been taking our cars to him for years. Dr. Bob always takes the time to explain what the problem is and your options. Often he can diagnose the problem just by hearing about what your car is doing or the sound it's making.
Eagle Rock is becoming trendy, so we have to have a frozen yogurt place. New, bright, how can you go wrong with tasty frozen treats.
This is a good place to stop in while shopping at the nearby Rite -Aid or picking up your dry cleaning. Convenient, reasonably priced, kid friendly.
This place is tiny. 3 barstools at a counter tiny. The hamburgers are good. Handmade and made to order.
They also serve hot dogs and chili dogs. I recommend the hamburgers, though. Tasty, reliable, no fads or innovations.
This place is not at all pretentious. The decor is pirate ship themed, while the drink prices are reasonable and the food just what you need to sustain those drinks. There is always a good natured crowd, a variety of people, as with any popular watering hole, it is pretty crowded on weekend nights, but I still recommend the live music.
This is the kind of neighborhood place you love. The food has been consistently good for the many years we've been coming here. The place is small, prices reasonable, service friendly, can get busy on weekend mornings, but that's a good sign! You can bring the kids, they have beer for adults. Small, with equally small but adequate parking off street, but plenty of street parking available.
The chile verde is a favorite.
I recommend South Coast Toyota to everyone. I purchased my last 2 cars from them, and numerous friends and colleagues have had excellent service with them. They go out of their way to treat you well, really listen to what it is you are looking for and work with you so you can get a car you can afford or get you financed. Bonus- you get a car you really love. They have a great service department and they also have used cars. If you are in the market for a new car, give them a call.
