Donovan's of La Jolla
I have only gone here for drinks and it is fabulous!! Their appetizers are hearty and the martinis are potent. Despite the super dark lighting I thoroughly enjoyed my happy hour and look forward to going there for dinner. A+
Sam's Pizza
My boyfriend LOVES going to Sam's, but I am not as impressed. It is very good, but nothing extraordinary. I like going here after a day at the beach or if you're in the area. I have only been a couple of times, but I enjoyed it.
Troy's Family Restaurant
This is definitely a place for regulars or hungry shoppers. A lot of their regulars are senior citizens and they treat them like family. I especially love the service and I always order the pork chop dinner. I am not a pork chop kinda person either, but these are exceptional.
PB Sushi
This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants is PB. It's small, but manages to seat you within minutes. There food is fresh and yummy and their staff is great. PB sushi is my first choice for sushi if I am in P.B. ONLY because the wait is not as crazy as it is at Zen5 which is right up there with it.
Romantic Nails
I was a repeat customer for about 2 years until the quality of service declined. Recently, I returned for a manicure/pedicure since they were under new management. I think it's a nice place to go to if you live in the area and that it is clean.
Dish
There aren't many places to grab a bite around my work unless you go for a time consuming and foot throbbing stroll. This place offers quick delivery and serves breakfast and lunch. Their breakfast burritos are $1 too much and their salads sit on the counter top instead of being refrigerated. I go to grab a snapple and a bagel these days.
A Bird Haven
This is not like your typical pet store where the birds are in one cage together. These birds are free to fly and interact with people so they are much tamer. I would recommend buying your new friend from here unless you feel the need to rescue a birdie from the sad pet shop.
Mr. Peabody's Burgers & Ale
I like going here to have a beer and a burger. They also have good martinis and appetizers. Eat dinner here and then go to Forever Fondue for a delicious dessert. The service is always great!!
Hoboken Pizza & Beer Joint
I like the atmoshere and the energy of the employees. The pizza has super thin crust and is pretty good overall. Be sure to decorate a dollar bill and hang it on the wall with the thousands of others. I recommend eating at Hoboken over la Cosa's ANY DAY.
La Cosa Pizza
I would rather order a pizza from Domino's, but they have a nice selection of toppings. I ordered a Hawaiian pizza and it was under baked and therefort tasted crappy. I was disappointed that I spent nearly $20 on a meal for myself that wasn't very delightful. I wasn't impressed and do not recommend going here. Eat next door at the greek place!!
