Dr. Pham is a highly qualified surgeon (check his credentials on his website: http://www.2020sandiego.com/DrPham.aspx and you cannot fake his sincerity. I am very pleased with the results, I actually see better than I did with my glasses before the surgery. Like any LASIK you must go through a sales process where numbers are scratched, discounts applied (no financing, military, multiple family members, etc.), the salesperson (Shiggy) has to leave the room to get the OK from the doctor (like buying a car unfortunately) and then you have to choose from standard and custom. I chose the custom with the guarantee (my only set of eyeballs) and the cost was just south of $2,000 per eye. I'm sure I could have settled for the standard (correcting to your eye glass prescription) and paid less, but I felt better with a custom configuration based on my age and astigmatism. I could have also gone elsewhere for cheaper but with that you also take on a higher level of risk. The laser equipment Dr. Pham uses is very new - something you want to check with others since the newer the technology the better - some are using very old lasers and that accounts for their profit margin. I've shopped around and the price was fair for the quality and results I received. You are not going to find a better surgeon than Dr. Tony Pham and that peace of mind goes a long way. He has, by far, the most enthusiastically satisfied clients based on my Google research and I am now one more highly satisfied customer.
