Pasta Veloce
Pasta Veloce is our stand by. We know we will get good food and be able to sit quickly. The pasta, salads and bread are all good and the owners at Pasta Veloce are great partners in the community.
Sanchez Taqueria
If you are looking for the Americanized Mexican food that is typical you are in the wrong place. The food here is the traditional food of Mexico. No huge protions just great food. At lunch this place is packed.
Brandon J. Schwindt, DMD
Going to the dentist can be kind of scary. Not at Dr. Bandon's office. You are greeted by a surfboard and the entire experience is geared toward kids. Dr. Brandon makes kids feel at ease and not scared in any way.
Cafe Castagna
Cafe Castagna has been creating wonderful food for years. While flashy places come and go they are still here. Service, great food and great drinks is the key. Local ingredients used in a variety of ways leads to some very creative dishes.
Apizza Scholls
This is the place for pizza on the east side. The crust and sauce is superb and the toppings are great. Bacon and sausage are made in house. The variety of cheese used here is great. The only downside is they do not do take out.
Everett Street Bistro
This is a great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You can pop in and get something from the case to go or sit down and have a great latte and eat a meal. The staff is friendly and efficient. The french toast is terrific and the hamburger at lunch is juicy and well done.
Alexis
We have been going to Alexis for years and I don't think I have ever had a bad meal. We usually eat family style - order a bunch of food and just share. The service is great and the entertainment on the weekends with the belly dancers is very fun.
Noble Rot
Noble Rot was one of the first wine bars in Portland and is still on of the best. The food - both small plates and full size meals are great and the staff knows exactly what wine to pair with your meal. Make sure to do a wine flight that will go with what your are eating. It is a great way to see how different wines comlement a meal
Three Doors Down Cafe
This place is always busy. It is good home cooking rustic Italian that has been served up for years. The tomato cream sauce is fantastic. Service is good and the wine list is quite extensive.
Ciao Vito Restaurant
If you like italian then you will love Ciao Vito. The atmosphere is cozy and the service terrific. It is a great neighborhood feeling place that has a bit of the feel of the Pearl without the fuss. You will see folks in their good clothes sitting next to folks with a ton of tatoos. The food is not the traditional italian but rather the more mediterranean. A great meal in a very casual atmosphere.
