The family palace is a great restaurant for sunday breakfast after church. It's a great place to enjoy pancakes, eggs, and sausage. It does get very crowded though on sunday mornings. the food is moderately priced. It's one of those places to grab a soup, salad, or grilled cheese for lunch or when theres nothing in the house for dinner. It's nothing fancy or special but it's a great family restaurant and diner.
This salon is a very excellent Italian Hair salon. I have been getting my hair (highlighted/cut/updo's) done here for nearly six years. My stylist is Maria. she is a sweetheart and is excellent at her job. She even came in early(around 8am for me) to blow dry and style my hair for my graduation pictures even though she just had a death in her family the night before. She is a dedicated hardworker..Her sister, Ivana, is the owner. Everyone is very warm and sweet here. I wouldnt recomend getting my nails done there but the other service is amazing. A haircut is about $30, updo's are around $60 and the foils are about $80 depending on the colors.. . If you are looking for a new hair do definitely give ivanas a try. They are usually booked full so call in advance for special occasions!
Marias is like any traditional mexican restaurant. The food is great. The sangrias and margaritas are excellent. I would recomend their guacamole for starters and if "pollo borracho" is on the specials menu get it! its a chicken breast stuffed with vegetables and then marinated with a tequila sauce, its amazing!
Sarkis seems like a really cool place to hang out with your high school crew but the food seems terrible and greasy and it smells really bad inside! Its a cool looking cafe and hang out spot though!
Natalie is a great boutique. It's the perfect place to find everyday clothing and beautiful dresses. I have worn a dress I bought there on several occasions and have had people ask to borrow it too. The dresses are reasonably priced (mine was around $120.00) and it is a great atmosphere to shop.. I would definitely recomend stopping in.
Nika is a pricey butique, on the high end, located in Uptown Park Ridge. The clothes are beautiful but a bit pricey like any boutique. The owner is not as friendly as the owner in the boutique next door (natalie) but it's worth the stop in. Great for finding dresses for formal occasions. Thery have all the newest trends of hollywood...
I have never actually been inside this restaurant but the carry out service is great. Everyone I have heard about that has eaten here raves about it. My personal favorite the mongolian beef but all the other traditional plates, like the fried rice for example, are excellent. The location of the restaurant is great too, in beautiful uptown Park Ridge.
Morettis is an everyday italian Restaurant. Children can "make their own pizza" which entails spreading the sauce and cheese on the dough which is a blast. The best pizza to order is their margerhita pizza. It's a place to grab a quick bite to eat but nothing really fancy.
Nonna Silvias is a very small restaurant with a great atmosphere. The pizza here is excellent. If you are looking for pasta I would reccomend tortellini con pesto, it is to die for. Outdoor seating is avaliable when there is nice weather but sitting inside is just as great.
Cafe Iberico is one of the best places in chicago for spanish cuisine and tapas... its great to go as a big group because everyone can order small many dishes (vegetables, potatoes, various meats) and share. the prices are very reasonable as well! the food and deserts are delicious and you cant go wrong here!
