I first took my son in for a haircut, and Kim took care of us. She was very friendly and did a very good job. She also shared that she used to work in a salon, and did women's hair too, but for a third of what you'd pay in a salon. So when my daughter needed a cut, we took her in also and weren't disappointed! Got a very good cut at a very good price!

My husband and I went there when we received a gift certificate for Christmas. The service was friendly, but the food to FOREVER to get to us! Once it came, it was delicious. One of the best cooked steaks I've had in a restaurant. It's hard to find a place that will actually cook it as rare as I like it!
Pizza Factory
My kid's love the pizza here! And their Tuesday night 'buy one large/xlarge, get the second for $5' can't be beat! The games in the arcade do seem to need some maintenance, but the staff recognize that and if you go tell them your token was eaten, they'll give you a handful to compensate, which is about all they can do until the owner decides to fix the games. We like it enough, that we're actually going there next week for my son's birthday!
Mad Greek
This is our most frequent stop when we drive to Las Vegas. Excellent gyros and one of the few places you can get buffalo meat! It's always busy, since it's so good and there's so few choices in that area, but even so, you never have to wait long for your food. Good size portions, fair prices, and clean bathrooms! Always a nice place to eat and stretch your legs on the long drive.
Georges Greek Cafe
My friend and I discovered this place when we left a Spin certification class across the street at Gold's Gym and were absolutely ravenous! We were planning on simply grabbing something to eat for the ride home, but after being taken under the wing of the owner right there on the sidewalk and treated like a member of his family, we made the decision to sit and enjoy the atmosphere for a bit longer. And even sweat-drenched and in our gym clothes, they welcomed us whole-heartedly. The rest of the staff, from the waitress to the cook to the busboy, were all as warm and friendly as George. And the food was delicious! If we're ever back in Long Beach, I will re-arrange my schedule and drive out of my way to eat here again! I hope the people who live so close to George's know how lucky they are!
Nana's and Pops Sweet Shop
It's hard to believe my kid's would have room for ice cream after gorging on the fish tacos at Harbor fish and chips, but they do. This is a very cute little old time ice cream and candy shop. They're always friendly, even when my kids want to spend way to much time ogling all the candy!
Harbor Gift Shop
It's amazing how much stuff they have in such a small space! My kids love going here because they can get conch shells and starfish for pocket change. I like going there because they have the most unique jewelry and pretty things!
Harbor Fish & Chips
Harbor Fish & Chips is always packed - but that's a good sign. And even with a line out the door, you never have to wait to long to order and get your food. Hands down, the best fish tacos out there! My kids always want to eat here!
The Armenian Cafe
My husband and I discovered this place about three months ago, and have probably been there four times! Which is a lot, considering it's over an hour from our house. First off, the food is excellent. Probably the best hummus I've ever had, anywhere, hands down. And I like hummus and have eaten a lot of it. Delicious tabouleh, and the most succulently decadent rack of lamb I've ever had. Amazing seasoning and perfectly cooked. I moaned as I ate it! And the most unique, delicious, hot 'cheesecake' I've ever had. If you go there, you HAVE to try it! Add the wonderful food to an extremely friendly staff and live music and belly dancing on the weekends, it's a very fun place to go!
Surf Ride Board Shop
I visited here last week because we're looking at buying a surf board for our son's birthday. I knew absolutely nothing, so went in and told them that. Trevor, the saleperson who helped me was extremely friendly, extremely knowledgable, and extremely helpful. He told me everything he could think of, answered all my questions, and never made me feel rushed or pressured. I'd recommend visiting them if you're in the market for a board!
