Bong su is a great upscale Vietnamese restaurant. They have a lot of seafood which I don't eat so I got their garlic noodles and they were pretty tasty. The style of the restaurant incorporates traditional Vietnamese and modern elements and the result is great.
The alembic is a great bar on Haight that has an interesting assortment of food and snacks. Their drinks are a bit pricey so the bill can add up quickly. It has a great atmosphere though and you feel very welcome
I love all Koney Islands. They offer a great menu of quick Greek food and Coney dogs. The restaurant is clean and usually full. I love their chicken fingers pita and Greek salads the best
Iluna Basque is a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The offer smaller sized portion so you don't so stuffed when you leave but its plenty to fill your tummy. The food is good and so is the service
Depending on what you order its about $12-30 per person to eat here so it can get expensive. The cuisine is Italian and the recipes taste very authentic. They have a huge wine list and the food tastes really good. I had the eggplant parmesan and it was delicious
Garcon is a French style restaurant with a nice atmosphere. They offer escargo, duck and more. I got their chicken since I'm not a fan of snails and it was pretty good. The food can get a bit pricey but the service is pretty good.
If you're into trying new things baobab is the place for you. The dishes are African inspired, Senegal to be exact. The prices are fair (about $10-13) and the food is actually really good. I had their chicken kebab and it was cooked wonderfully. They even have a tofu option!
Fringale is a great French inspired restaurant. The food can get pricey $15-25 depending on what you order. I got their organic chicken and it was delicious. Their food is beautifully presented and the service is pretty good. They also have a full bar and an excellent wine list.
Rnm is an interesting restaurant that mixes American, Italian, and French food together. You can get a smaller plate for about $10-14 or a larger plate for about $20-25. The food is delicious and the service was excellent.
This is a very nice restaurant on the pier with a pretty good selection of seafood. Its quite pricey but a great place for a nice evening out. I ordered the eggplant parmesan since I don't like seafood and it was pretty good but you could get the same thing for half the price at any other restaurant. The service was excellent and the the dessert was very tasty
